Maybe posted replies are thin on the ground, but if everyone who read this emailed the message out, who knows how many people signed as a result. There may be apathy, but once this started hitting the media, the Downing Street website crashed under the load. Being negative over influencing government thinking is gonna get us screwed even more. Vote with your feet. If Joe Public can’t be bothered, god help us all.

Incidentally I have no objection per se to paying by the mile as long as fuel duty and road tax are scrapped, and the fees are reasonable. I DO object to being spied upon when minding my own business, and I sure as hell do not need a robot sending out speeding tickets. If that happens, we will all be walking, because no-one can say they have never broken the speed limit on occasion. 4 times 3 points and that’s it! You could lose your license on one journey over unfamiliar territory, and miss just one speed limit sign.

I go with the Buzzard, thankfully more widespread now. Red Kites still tend to be West Country or Wales, Buzzards and Kestrels are common, Hen Harriers up here in East Anglia. Did get to see a Golden Eagle above Coniston a few years back, and one in Scotland last year. Sea Eagle at Portree on Skye as well.

How about Peugeot making a ‘007’ next time…in Hungary of course.

We have a fleet of leased Renaults at work, you will be pleased to know that they are still as big a heap of **** that they have always been.

Aston Martin to the French? By the time they have covered the engine in superfluous plumbing, and put the gearbox in front of the radiator, the performance and handling will be like a 2CV.

Hang on….didn’t Bond drive one of those? 😮

This has just made the Television news, over 1 million have now signed up!

The Govt. say they welcome the input from the populace, but it would not necessarily sway policy. Perhaps they should read the writing on the wall.

Thanks to all who have signed to date, and continue to spread the word.

I imagine the ‘tracker’ will be wired into the ignition circuit. No signal, no start.
Your mileage will be tracked and compared to the odometer when the car has it’s MOT.

This is SPYING on a major scale. Perhaps we should all drive into, and gridlock the major cities for a week or so, like the French do. That should have an effect.

This is a repeat, I watched it first time around. Boring.
Interviews with the likes of Karl Rove, Bush’s puppy. Dont expect anything but ‘political speak’.

Hurrifan, my son is disabled. Apart from paying my dues to the state, I pay for private medicine, and a private pension because when push comes to shove, the government is not there, for me or for him.

Having paid twice over, I object to having my earnings directed to the ‘unfortunates’ who could, but refuse to help themselves.

You can bet your life the ‘shopping vouchers’ will be for the stores whose owners give ‘loans’ to the Labour Party. Yet another hand out to the ‘underclass’. No one asked them to take drugs. No one asked the taxpayer if he wanted more of his hard earned cash given to the ‘less fortunate’. Those of us ‘fortunate’ enough to work are bled to death for a socialist society, where the shirkers and ‘disadvantaged’ are pandered to night and day.

When will people wake up and realise pandering to these people only encourages more and more ‘spongers’.

The Government would do better using the Afghan poppy harvest to wean these addicts of their poison, it would be cheaper and more effective than another handout. Only problem is, the CIA would not take kindly to having their boat rocked.
