1990’s – 2 lost both shot down by a Soviet made iraqi SA-2E missile that was made in 1957!
1 shot down by iraqi AAA

WRONG … there are only 2 F-15E losses during Desert Storm – both on low level “Scud Hunting”missions and both shot down with Roland SAMs !

2010’s – 1 israeli shot down by Russian made Syrian s300
1 shot down by a syrian Mig 23
1 shot down by Palestinian fighter
    more to be added

WRONG …there are no losses by S300 or “Palestinian Fighters” … and the loss to an syrian MiG 23 is an rumor, but not confirmed !

Why until now, no F-15 operator has ordered the PW100-232 or GE110-132 for their F-15s?

Speaking of saudi F-15s, does anyone know if the first saudi F-15SA had it’s first flight yet, and are there more pics of it ? Thanks.

Where did you got that thrust figure from ? The figure (for 232 btw, 229A renamed) is 145KN.

That thrust figure is from the german wiki page about the F100, perhaps the 165KN are the maximum possible thrust numbers and the 145Kn are the maximum service numbers. The german F100 wiki states also that this engine 229A has an bigger fan and needs bigger inlets, because of the bigger airflow … ist should be availiable with stealth or TVC nozzles.

Has anyone infos about the Serial-No. of the 13th squadrons last lost F-15c (dec 3th.2012?) ???

To make it clear … I speak from an SE really designed and developed to an end … could also be an lighter single seater!

For example with the PW F100-229A engine with 165KN and TVC the SE would outperform the in nearly all aspects !

There is no US demand because any demand on such an plane would kill the USAF part of the F-35 … simple question, why there are no performance informations about the F-15 Aktive Programm published, simple because it was performace wise too close on the F-22 Raptor.

I think the main problem of the F-15 Silent Eagle is the F-35 program … I assume that the F-15 SE – really developed in all consequence to an end – could bring forth a fighter aircraft that could be far superior in almost all respects to the F-35 … with the exception perhaps of the stealth characteristics. Why was deleted the outwardly inclined vertical stabilizers of the Silent Eagle were deleted again – because the stealth features would then become become good for the intended purpose and might have brought the whole F-35 program to absurdity.
The idea with the internal weapons bays in the conformal tanks was not even really developed to the end … with ease it would be possible to develop multi-purpose addition and special tanks for special missions … It could be, for example, certainly accommodate 4-6 Amraam half sunk in the bottom of the tank for fighter tasks … and also the for the F-18E / F developed stealthy weaponsbay could easily be carried by the Silent Eagle on their central weapon station.

    Conclusion:
The Silent Eagle was developed by Boeing with focus on the export market, but then they have noticed that on the one hand, the performance would be much too good for that you could export it to the expected countries and on the other hand the benefits would question the “project of the century” Joint Strike Fighter !!!

How long these F-15Cs will be in Service with the Saudi Airforce … is there any chance that some would be upgraded like the F-15Ss – in the Upgrade-Package for example are some more APG-63 AESA Radar sets (170?) than needed for all F-15Ss(68-70?) and F-15SAs.(84)

Or would these fighter F-15s replaced by Eurofighters as new Saudi main fighter plane.

If they are replace must the Saudis bring the surving plane back to the US / scrap them or could they do what they want?

The Saudis has replaced the PW F100-229 engines of the F-15Ss with GE F110-129 engine … what they have done with the PW engines, i think some (many?) must be in good condition. Could they fit them in their F-15Cs to bring them to an new and better combat level – I read about an interview with an F-15 testpilot, who quotes that an clean F-15E (without conformal tanks) with the PW F100-229 engine would be an hard match in an dogfight, even for an F-22 Raptor.
Imagine how an F-15C with the new better responding and much lighter FBW, APG-82 or APG-63 III radar, the new ECM system and the PW F100-229A (with 165KN!) could perform – I really wonder why none is thinking about re-engineing the US F-15C Golden Eagles which should serve for much more years with more powerfull and better engines !?

The F-15C block 49/50s were the same as the previous Saudi F-15Cs, but with APG-70s. Structurally, they were standard F-15Cs.

The F-15D-50-MC aircraft sold to Saudi Arabia in the same package were structurally F-15Es and had the APG-70, but were otherwise equipped like the F-15Ds the Saudis received in the 80s. The main difference between these and the standard Ds were the structural reinforcement and the common engine bay.

As far as the radar, all F-15C and Es built after 1986 were equipped with APG-70s, including some for the USAF. In USAF service, the F-15Cs delivered with APG-70s were the first to be refitted with APG-63(V)1, and their APG-70s were used as spares for the F-15E fleet.

Thanks for the informations … but I don´t understand how MDC could produce new F-15Cs two years after closure of the production from this plane … are you that they are really struturally identical to the last US F-15Cs produced more than two years before and lacks the structural reinforcement and the common engine bay of the F-15E … the one pic I have shows clearly an export F-15C single-seater but also clearly with the antennas outfit in both tailbooms like the F-15E who stood by.

I also seem to remember me having read, that the 5 israeli F-15D-50-MC produce in the same time frame were delivered almost with F-15E standard.

Another question … do anyone now if all these 9 F-15C are still in aktive use … some source claimed No. 1327 to be lost, but in the description of the incident stood that it was an midair collision between two F-15Ds and that there would be 2x 2 people involved.
