Perhaps Sir Adrian may be able to assist……
If you want me to I can ask in email.
I am rebuilding his old Air Force Auster T7 WE552 back to flight that he used in HK and we often communicate, seems like a really top gentleman! He was so chuffed about her survival and rebuild he even gave me his pilots notes(with jottings) and personal photos and negs (of him with WE552 in HK) to go with the plane as she moves on through her life. I can only but ask….

Hi,
This photo was part of a Flickr directory, the link to this was posted in a later entry. This photo can be found here, but doesn’t provide any more detail.
Perhaps you could contact the Flickr site owner.John
Thanks John, you are a legend mate. I am going to contact him and see what can be done.

And this one…Mossie is HR339. All photos are Pacific theatre. Where is this?
Hi guys
I am sorry I know this is an old thread but I am looking for this poster “Slummer” in regard to this photo. We believe this is our Mosquito at Ferrymead HR339 but would like confirmation with a higher res image. I have PM’d him but have had no response.
Can anyone help??
Regards
Anthony
Or see if they would let you graft the back end of their Sea Hornet on to your fwd fuse….:-) . I know I know, only in a perfect world…LOL
Thanks guys, appreciate the information. I have 2 (both cracked through) so I went on line and looked at restoring bakelite and the people that restore jewelery suggest to rub it down (careful not to inhale the dust)with fine emery cloth and polish it back up to restore the original finish. When I did this it came back to a lovely yellow colour and polished up nicely…trouble is it is cracked through on one side and is unuseable. I guess I could look at casting a new one from resin or something, but would prefer to find originals if possible as I am going to a lot of effort to use original components.
You guys have been awesome, thanks for all your help
I have plenty of other things to work on so maybe (like the levers) in a couple of years I will stumble across some more.

Thanks Jason, yes mate it is. I have been looking for these for over 5 years!
Now I just have to find a supplier for those knobs. They seem to be a std ‘off the shelf’ item as I have seen these fitted to various other vintage throttle units.

Thanks Ken,
Adrian, sorry mate I only have spares for the GM Austers

I agree Pete, I would love to see Dave put together this Typhoon…..just cant believe someone else is bidding on that tailwheel unit! If I wasn’t sinking money into my own aeroplane I would love to pitch in and help Dave out to get parts like this.
Go Dave!
And this, definitely worth a look…

Thanks for the update Bruce! They all look great together. TA122 looks great and like she has come a long way as well…any more pics of her (and W4050 of course)?

Awesome work going on there! Thanks for the update, what an awesome project.
Hi all
I am desperately seeking a set of split throttle levers for my Auster T7 rebuild…see below (yellow knobs). I just cant find any with my contacts over here in NZ.
I have seen these levers retro-fitted to several AOP-6’s but I cant locate any for my Aircraft. I would be hugely appreciative of any leads anyone has. I have other Auster 6/7 spares I can trade.
Cheers
Anthony
