    Is that the Canberra a Warton /Salmsbury by any chance? Some of the lads at 39 had a look at it last year and said it was rotten through– good luck though.

    Thanks for that, sound exactly like the one he has . It came from Laarbruch from the J models they scrapped. Will check out E-bay ta.

    Nashioo, think you’ll find these were attached to slightly unserviceable Tornados!!! Just off Cleethorpes is what they called “c” sea Flight cos of all they Lightnings they flew into it !

    A mate of mine remembers chopping the Vulcon to bits in 88- Still amazes me that they closed Finingley yet left dumps that no one wants to get posted to(thats Marham to you) open. Was’nt it twice the size of Odiham?

    Hi Les,’fraid to say the paperworks in…just got back from RIAT where at least half of the enginering team are RAF and are waiting for “the best promotion of all…..Mr” .

    The Nav no longer goes through the hatch ,although the points are still on the seat headbox. On the photo you can see the MDC (det cord) running around the edge of the hatch. The Navs call the windows “day and night indicators” as thats all they’re good for.

    ApC104- its hoped that they will be sold as flyers, not least because its less work to transfer ownership without spares recovery…!! as for 169 – may turn up on the main gate……………..! jase

    Apart from me being out of a job!!!!! the airshows at Waddo , RIAT and the Open Day at Marham, a lot of Canberra spares packing for the greedy B*7&^rds at DSA no doubt.

    the canberra that was on the dump was the pr7 which got on the wrong end of a jcb last year! dont think anything -apart from the nose undercarriage door! survived.. the other one was 168 ,which was in one piece until 3 months ago …again digger 1 pr9 0. nose door did make it and is in the bar!!!!!!
