first,i dont think aviation international is a reliable information source.(even janes is crowded with wrong information about chinese project)
second,chinese source has already clearly show the process of J10 design.its a rebirth item of the canceled J9 in early 1980s.at about 1986,this item get the code of J10,after some time,the tech files about LAVI do send to china,and its combined into the J10 item.about the same time,china get a pakistan F16,all these impact on J10.at about 1992,the first plane were rollout,its much like a f16’s intake and the canard of LAVI,but the test flight is very hard.after a crash,the j10 item have to redesign.at that time,france sent the tech of M2K to china.so,that’s the all source of foreign tech.where’s the “russia engineer’?
