    the accident happened at GUANGDE,ANHUI.it’s a city both close to NANJIN and HANGZHOU,and many chinese AWACS pics are catched there…..so 🙁 🙁 🙁

    friends,just a sad news to tell you:a chinese AWACS test bed crashed in ANHUI,40 heroes died.as far as i know ,it’s a Y-8 variant,just like ,or may be just is this one.

    no idea about this potential ancestry for J10 , but we have discussed the startling resemblance of a romanian(?) fighter proposal to FC1. the bridge maybe mikoyan who collaborated on both projects in early days?

    an article from chinese said that the contribution of france is much biger than israel in j10 item.so i guess maybe the tech and data of novi avion will be the source~~because dassault did develop such aircraft for france af 🙂 🙂

    and the relationship between ussr and romonia isnt very well at these years,so will mikoyan support the project?some information said romonia ever develop the engine of iar9x with china

    Novi Avion doesn’t look anywhere near like the J-10. Although it is true that there was some French assistance in it, but it didnt really go anywhere.

    As for the Romanian fighter.. it just looks similar to the FC-1…but so do many aircraft of that vintage (similar style intakes, etc)

    No offence mate but since when is Australia a third world country???
    Since I live in Australia, I thought I would know if it was, I guess I better ring John Howard and tell him he’s got some explaining to do!!!

    Even the other countries you mentioned above: Poland Romania, Brazil, Switz.. etc etc… I wasn’t aware they are third world countries?!

    😮 😮 sorry,these country i mentioned is just the “small country” in aerospace field,they were normally out of the highlight~~
