german humour confuses me
G-MARA had an engine change the day after the incident

i started work at 7pm at a pub right under the take off from BHX (in catherine-de-barnes) and by the mentioned rugby gound, i was outside before my shift and heard the said bang/bangs. but i couldn’t tell whether it was from the road or from the air, sounded like a car misfiring, quite loud too.
nice set of shots…
this is now the long stay carpark is, but it used to be the “grass bank” for people that can remember that far back!
you do get a nice mix of mil in brum too, lots of c-17’s, vc-10’s and quite a few danish hercs for some reason
i love the old avro’s they’re possibly my favourite aircraft, purely becasue they are wacky… i was lucky enough to fly home on one from brussels last year. fast acceleration, and really poor climb rate, it could only be British
Isn’t Farnborough called TAG London Farnborough airport too?
this is commercial suicide, with the olympics coming up and all that
ive got it into my head that its alot smaller than its supposed to be, not the other way around :@
the passenger charters bit was what i was trying to get at. wonder why they bothered?
also.. the evergreen DC-9’s. why do some of them have passenger windows?
any ideas whos the yellow DC-9 is?
love how the 2 73’s take up one 380 space with room to spare
who wants to go to doncaster.
my dad used to fly into birmingham to get to central london. he swore it was quicker than flying to heathrow.
with Birmingham Internation train station next door, it only takes 1 hour to get into central london from BHX.
hopefully BHX will get a bit more service when the runway in extended. it is the airport with the most people within a 2 hour drive circumference (bits of london, manchester, the east midlands cities) so that might draw a few airlines in along with a longer runway.
