Great pics Galdri ! I saw an article in the Vancouver Sun newspaper about a year ago on this museum. The article mentioned that they had just bought a bunch of Surplus F4’s from the Italian Government. They were selling a few of them privately, engines sold seperately. Did anyone else see this in their local papers or news? I’m curious as to how many were sold and for how much…

Whitley
Pathfinder,
You just made my day. I love Whitley pictures! Any chance of getting copies of these pics without the copyright? I am starting a registry of Whitley photo’s. I have upwards of 100 different coded Whitley’s. They would be for my own personal use.

Hi Google,
Well it’s about time! I’ve been waiting for a space sim (a good one) for quite awhile…

🙂 You guys are nothing short of amazing! I honestly didn’t think I’d find a photo of AR212. Mark12, do you happen to know what year the photo was taken? Snapper, your photo’s are so clear, have they been touched up?
Does anyone know which Spitfire hit AR212 or vise versa?
Cheers!

Hi John,
Have fun! I love S.E Asia. When I was in Laos in 1999, I passed through a small village outside of Sekong somewhere that had an F4 in the rice paddies… I’m not sure whether it was worth salvaging… The area was also littered with puck mines. My father’s friend used to drop unexploded weapons in that area before returning to base. If I remember correctly he flew F105’s and F4’s. He has since passed on due to war related health problems…

Todd
Hi Paul,
Thanks for the reply. Too bad…Were there any books published that accounted for some of the Wellingtons lost during the war?
Cheers,
Todd 🙂

I did my first model in the mid 70’s. It was an F-105 “Thud”. I blew it up with some firecrackers when I was 10 or 11. 🙂
