Papa Lima,

I managed to crawl (barely) inside the B17 at the Abottsford International Airshow. She’s a beauty! I’ve heard that she’s the most complete and original B17 in North America. What a treat for the people on Vancouver Island! I guess I’ll have to make another visit to the museum in Sidney. It’s been a few years since my last visit. I go that way just about everyday being that I work on tugboats…

Hi Elliott,

Do you have instrument panel dimensions? The types and model #’s for the instruments. That would be a huge start! I will email you within the next few days with the Whitley part found at my Uncle’s crashsite. My digital camera is in for repairs.

There are many sources where you can find instruments, It just takes some training and effort to do so. How about e-bay :rolleyes:

I’m not sure I’d buy the proper instruments! I wish I could locate some paperwork for Whitley’s! Being from Canada doesn’t help when all the spares seem to be floating around in the U.K (so it seems) and Europe.
