Have landed at both Plett and George both nices spots. Waiting to line up at George i saw what looked like a taildragger land and then about 200 yards doen the runway it popped up onto its nose wheel, so after dragging its ass down the tarmac , did they stop and have a look? Nope they powered up and took off.
Shocking, although i know of a hangered Yak that has undergone its annual twice and never moved.
Thanks Arm Waver
You didn’t manage a shot of G-SBAE by any chance did you, pretty please.
Absolutely fantastic, i will come up and have a look in the next couple of weeks.
Absolutely chuffin brilliant, what a cool way to spend an evening!
India, could well be the dark horse here, rumours abound about there being a deal being done with India for a large number of Typhoons.
Have more fun.

Jeff 998,
The An2 has gone to Little Gransden it will back in a bit, its only been based at Blackpool for about a year ,and has only been in that spot for about 8 months.
If you ever get chance to go and have a look in it, do so , shes immaculate leather interior.
Its always Blackpool, no need to think it wont be this time.
Bits of info gleaned from elsewhere.
The only other camouflaged aircraft in Egyptian service were Lancaster bombers, which by 1956 were completely obsolete and in the process of being retired. Painted in Medium Sea Grey (BS637) on upper surfaces and sides, and Matt Black (BS642) underneath, the Lancasters also wore no identification stripes.
REAF has also purchased “demilitarized” Lancaster bombers. Their RAF serials and REAF (later EAF) serials were:
PA476=REAF 1801
PA441=REAF 1802
SW308=REAF 1803
TW894=REAF 1804
PA435=REAF 1805
PA391=REAF 1806
TW890=REAF 1807
SW313=REAF 1808
TW656=REAF 1809
Seems they had a few Halifaxs and Stirlings as well.
More excellent reading, thanks.
schanche, amazing reading she seems to have a talent for writing, thanks for feeling you could put these on here.
