    my grand dad was there with the fleet air arm in 1945, and he talked about them burying loads of brand new stuff in the ground. i don’t remember him saying anything else about it though.

    1) shakelton will be great. i had never herd of him till i read the story in the national geographic and it really moved me. he got his whole crew out from the antartic when they were stuck – sheer incrediable.

    2)theres nothing wrong with the freat escape film.

    knowing people who helped steve mcqueen do the motobike sceen is quite intresting. you know he tries to jump that wire on the swiis border, well the crew insisted a stunt man (incase he hurt himself) did it but afterwards mcqueen went ahead and did it anyway (juped the whole wire). now i’ve been on bikes like that IMHO it would be bloody hard to do that.

    hey the whole film is just great and think of british films and this one is really good.

    yup – i went to the raf musem ages ago but i’ve been to many diffrent places i didn’t want to go out on a limb as i only had a vauge feeling that it was there.

    these were raf operated boats that had very fast egines. they left costal parts round here (kent) and dashed out into the channel to resuce downed pilots. i’ve seen one of these boats somewhere but can’t think where.

    you post an attachment andchose your filetype and then rowse for the file on your hard drive (less than 75kb). therefore you can’t post form a website unless you save it to your hard drive first

    i’m not a big cicil aviation fan but concorde would be my vote for the best and for the worst – umm dunno.
