Now I have to admit I know nothing about what the RAAF were using at that time but there are a few things that just don’t look right for this to be dated 1938. The label is not the same style as I have seen on other packs of that era and the buckles on the harness look very post war to me. Sure it doesn’t actually say 1958?

I contacted the seller of this on evilbay and mentioned due to several inconsistances it was certainly not second world war,as advertised.
I take it the listing was not altered,last time i looked before the listing ended it was past the £400 mark 😮

They should have them by 08 February 11

Recieved these today,and have got to say these are fantastic quality,and what a worthy cause.I have the local press interested in running an article supporting the group,especially with our next town bieng Lancaster:D.Should anyone require a band for a donation within my local area please do not hesitate to PM me.For the 55,573 you will NOT be forgotten.

pgc demolition did not get the winning bid they were contacted this morning[HTML][/HTML]

I also left bids with the auctioneer prior to the sale but several items seem to have gone for less than bids i had left :confused:

Looking at the pictures,did the items in the land warfare hall and vehicles belong to the museum,or is this something totally different ?

The S* relates to the material the case is made of (in this case brass)

The single no is a batch no.

The P no’s are the manufactures codes in your case.

P120 = Dynamit A.G Vormals, Alfred Nobel & co Werk Hannover

P154 = Polte Armanturen u. Maschinenfabrik A.G Werk Gruneberg, Nordbahn Schlesien.

Your opinion only I take it?

Without the centre section of TG536, there would be no Halifax standing there and there would have been no chance for old-Halifax aircrew to relive memories
A bit harsh don’t you think?
But that is just my opinion mind you.

The S prefix i believe is for Spandau manufactured.Please be aware although you probably know the primers are live. 😉
