Thanks Aerohistorian, maybe with the close relationship between MDP and 3rd Airforce I can enlist the help of the General. if you’ve read about Bill Cramsie and Project 9699, you will see I”ve been there before.
Another small museum nearby WW2, has a canopy of a jet they have offered me, I may be a sign if its an F100F one. I have several crashed debris one offer from local farmers as well.

Please help me put the Gate guard back at Wethersfield.
I am getting the RAF Wethersfield Museum going quite well, at present I have 3 Rooms in shared building but since announcing it on the RAF Wethersfield Facebook Page, i receive a box of items every week, I have at least 10 visitors this week some from this forum. I have a booklet for sale to help with funds its a 28 page PDF. you can find the link for that on the Facebook page.
I have American visitors every month, I have been doing this since 2008. I was a Senior Police Officer at the base. now retired with good support for the Museum and a new self contained building pending in the next few weeks.
Most of my American visitors are 20th FTW as are many on the Facebook page.
The Super Saber is special to RAF Wethersfield and in particular the F100F two seater I have many stories and pictures of. The Crash of Col Wendell Kellys F100F at Gosfield is a good example intact it might make a fitting memorial if I could acquire this 100F and have it done up as his plane.

I would love to have this Aircraft and put back the Gate Guard at Wethersfield which happens to be the location as the Museum. I have a whole Airfield as an exhibit, one of the T2 Hangars is empty, I am new at this so I need help, but I know I am preserving History and have over a thousand people appreciating my efforts.

Help! How can I acquire this F100?
And yes you can visit the museum by appointment with me.
I came across this a few times during my time in the MOD Police, its a Gov Directive and happens with Police Badges and other Gov logos.
To that end the RAF Wethersfield Museum will now be known as the Wethersfield Airfield Museum as will my Brief History Booklet.
Wyvernfan the museum is up and running albeit is only 2 rooms at the moment, the collection outgrew this and more items arrive from the USA every few weeks.
The Museum will move to a dedicated Building suited for the task in April/May
It is possible to visit, by appointment only through me. It requires my being available to escort and host visitors.
Was 15 pages on the iPhone , pages 10 and 11 for F100s
Wyvernfan 8 pages of photos on this site, a good collection in one place, they poster has taken them from all over the Internet and that upsets some but none the less a good collection and some great F100 photos that will be going on the museum wall.
Some photos of H7-K when it made an emergency landing at Wethersfield look in catchats photos under planes and stills there’s an Avro Anso, P51s B17 among others. Google 416th Bomb Group
RAF Medmenham Connections to RAF Wethersfield
RAF Medmenham became the Ministry of Defence Police Training School, which moved to RAF Wethersfield, I worked at both and still run the Museum at the latter.
The intelligence photos from Medmenham generated the target orders for the 416th Bomb Group at Wethersfield.
A photo of RAF Medmenham, the The house is Danesfield now a hotel. George Clooney who filmed Monuments Men at Duxford (I took Dave Andrews there when they were filming) George had his English wedding at this hotel, and as most of you will know Dirk Bogarde worked here during the WW2.

I don’t know about that speed, but i know a man i can ask, see and listen to 1st Lt Dave Andrews A20G Havoc pilot WW2 with 416th Bomb Group at RAF Wethersfield. iff the link does not work go to http://www.witnesstp war.org and in the search bar put dave andrews. Dave talks about his first encounter with a Mosquito.
Dave is 93 still flies and has been over for D Day the last 2 years.

I think the link takes you to Daves page and his 9 stories. He mentions me in story 7 about his brakes, I actually have photos and film of that incident. and in one of the fatal accidents he talks about someone has just offered me the pilots wings (badge) found in that field for the museum.
I will see what I can find out Buccman
Will try and find a clearer sharper version, it was Mrs Finbow who let me copy the original when she came to one of my talks on the History of the Base.
Adrian as requested I think the names are still posted above.
Will do Adrian, I need to delete some others first.
You are probably right the 416th moved to an Airfield in France in October 1944.
