I’ve come across an RAF publication called “Ground Gen for Airmen” all about living in the RAF.
Was there such a thing as “bombing ground gen”?
Good ideas, thanks.
Here is a look at the formation of his letters which have a descender.
I suspect they are both lower case letters.
If it is lower case letters maybe it isn’t Gee which I assume would have been written with an upper case G

It is handwritten but it definitely looks like a double g
He says that he spent the day catching up on bombing g.g

Thanks Nige, much appreciated
Are the 3 a/c in the background on the runway shot Tippers Ansons ?
Off the top of my head, summer ’68…
I have all the pics of her arriving at HG and being handed over to the Air scouts…
VM325 went to Carew in August 2005. It arrived in pieces on the back of 2 articulated lorries covered in tarpaulins. The story was covered by BBC Wales, ITV Wales and Radio Wales. I Didn’t know about the engine restorations though.

Nige and Roger – Would be grateful to see the pics plus any other Halfpenny Green reminiscences you may have…..
This site is coming up as “not found”. Has it closed ?
Hi
Did you find a pod in the end ?
Regards
I used to try and visit quite often as it’s not that far away but a £3 per visit charge would soon mount up so I won’t be doing this in the future.
They may see a small drop in numbers but many visitors will still see it as a cheap visit compared to other attractions. This is what the museum is banking on. (I have stood at the entrance desk a number of times when visitors are surprised when they are told it’s free).
One thing is for sure – if they don’t get complaints and don’t see a large drop in numbers they will think it is acceptable to charge.
Interestingly the wording on the museum site says that the Cosford charges will be used to support its’ sites (plural) not just Cosford site.
Just a thought but will these guys now all have to pay to park up?
Interestingly TVOC are only showing attendance at the October show not the september show
Participants list now on TFC website and Friends of TFC Blog http://www.fighter-collection.com
Mmm shall I just paste that into my TFC “will it be at Legends” competition entry because the closing date isn’t until 10th July.
I’m thinking that the posted list isn’t the final word…..
Tiny Vulcan Operating Company
I heard that the company went bust and were taken over by this company.
The DVD is available – I picked mine up last weekend.
How about a competition for a logo or slogan for the back of his nice plain jacket ……
The four 2-seaters doing formation passes works for me.
Proplover – are there 2 more in restoration near completion ?
FMS, do put a sock in it. You didn’t do your homework and the disappointment you keep bleating about is all of your own making. The words you’re looking for are quite simple:
“Sorry I made a complete @rse of myself bleating about the Lancaster when it was off doing something far more important than titilating me at an airshow.”
How rude. And how much it shows your lack of understanding of people who are not ardent aviation enthusiasts.
