    I won’t say too much, do you consider the cost/price factor?
    If so-called superiority reigns, why did IN at first place buy the Kilo SSK to add another not so superior item into their logistics?

    That’s because you can only find out what are marketing hypes and what are the true capabilities when you actually operated them for a while and compare it against a proven system like Foxtrot.

    IMO, I support Austin’s view.

    The unquesionable fact is that, India’s Navy still favor Foxtrot.

    Although they have all the options to keep buying more Kilos (which is supposed to be more advanced), they have chosen to hang on to the Foxtrot and wait for the more advanced western subs. IN’s act speaks volume for the superiority of Foxtrot.
