Thanks – now that’s an impressive sight!
Look closely at the fin – new freshly zinc (chromated) phosphated panel?
As you say : you have never been to Legends Mike………..that’s a shame.
Never attended “Legends” but really can’t see it would be any less “special” with the “Arrows” present. Could it make it more “special”, perhaps ??
You should go!….. For me less special – unless the reds swap out their propulsion to piston power! Really worth the effort to get there one year Mike; you’ll see why!
…and it was the first time for me to see “Buchons” with the correct paint scheme on, not desparately pretending to be a “Nazi fighter” 😉
Worth a trip to at Air Zoo in Michigan then……
Shame…..??? Why, many folk enjoy watching the RAF Red Arrows…….
They do. I wasn’t being impolite about the Reds. Legends was always special. With so many shows closing and costs spiralling i fear that special feel might become watered down. Good to see they don’t encroach on the show though.
Noooooooooo! Snivel….blart…….
Oh dear. What a shame. They do pull in the crowds though.
What did they do with the crated Spitfires they found?
If they aren’t bringing anything with them, my uneducated guess would be Grumman Hawks.
Probably not these! Cats or Curtis?
Despite the awful weather – bearcat and sea fury pair at legends!
Wow now that’s not my idea of mounting up for the P2 – heads down looking! ……what …..climb up there…..with rotors running? Er ……. Taxi!
Reliable = turns up when booked. Not the same thing as serviceability. If anything, not bothering to turn up for a confirmed booking because it is no longer convenient is more harmful to their image than weather or unservicability.
There is a solution – everyone who is displeased or annoyed – make their donation cheques for £10 payable to ……….
I don’t think this has been posted so far?
Now that looked effortless and text book – and you know it was very far from that! The donkey died over the field going up hill – evenso Fresh pants on landing then!
Tea and more medals back in the mess.
I had a radio failure over Stafford and came back to HG none radio and landed with a shirt wetter than a wet thing and in need of a change of nappy from nanny!
Still in awe of the skill from Mr R!
