Gentlemen – The list is endless – Hawker Fury I at Legends ……. The Blenheim what an achievement – the tenacity of those chaps ……… But most of all a year where everything that does fly, lands again without mishap or loss.

And on a frightfully selfish note – more spacing between the aircraft at Legends to hear the engine notes! To get my ideal? Hellcat, Wildcat, Bearcat three ship, plenty of space between them in a tailchase to really get the sound of the Wildcat and Hellcat “clattering” around the sky! Oh and no voice overs on the tannoy! Unless Mr Grey would like to do a guest spot on one aircraft……wouldn’t that be spiffing! Yes please Stephen!

And in the too difficult pile? Spiteful, MB5 & Hornet! One can dream!

Could he be sponsored by PPE-R-US – love the idea of him being a hi- viz cousin of Darth Vader! As I said “luke- luke- stay away from the green side of the Force!”

    Who cares what it is?

    a) it lacks wings.

    b) it be big, it be hairy and oi be afraid if it!

As my old Warrant Officer used to say: “stay away from the green side lad; nothing good can come from anything the pongos play with”

What’s “The Stig’s Tank Delivery cousin” up to? I don’t like the cut of his gib? Looks like an excessive PPE’d poor show pushing it off the low loader!

Nothing worse then cadging a bump start from a few likely passers by; then realising you’ve left the handbrake on!

She flew over Wellingborough mid afternoon on the way…….. Disturbing a meeting as Bantock Sr dived across the office to the window! Wonderful!

It’s a pump to add lubricant to the ashtray cover. Or was that the P47.

Just had a quick read through the news section of the new Aeroplane out today, the Lambeth Spit and Mustang are due at Dux sometime in November but the 190 won’t be coming, it belongs to the R.A.F. Museum so it will be going to Cosford.:(

Good for jolly old Cosford. The RAF museum is excellent, but like the BBC it’s too London-centric – too much at Hendon and too little at Cosford! We lost the liberator and the Thunderbolt! It’ll be nice to have a fw190 alongside the other axis aircraft.

I’d say simply because it sported fixed undercart.

Not an appealing situation to force land on soft or boggy ground with the Dunlops permanently dangling. In fact does any type with retracts call for gear down as an action item in the pre forced landing checklist?

I for one would want my belly baby smooth if a dead donkey lead me to pancake in a Russian wilderness!

A Welsh-man achieved the first powered manned flight before the Wright brothers.
