Is that guy on the right dressed as Sgt Oddball from Kelly’s Heroes?? What sort of event was this?

As mentioned one post above, the film was made in the Buckinghamshire village of Chalfont St Giles. It looks almost the same even today.

I ran the Dad’s Army Appreciate Society New Zealand Branch for over nine years, I have visited Thetford twice, and Chalfont St Giles where the film was mate, I know most of the surviving cast and Jimmy and David, and these days rather than the society which got all too much to handle with other things in life, I run a small section on my website dedicated to the series with info, etc here

So Bruce does that mean that there’s no way Jerry Yagen’s Mosquito can visit the UK?

Or does CAA turn a blind eye to a foreign-registered aircraft flying at their airshows but the same aircraft cannot fly on their register? That would seem very silly and one-eyed.
