    PLA.. why would A-5 be a pointless aircraft/decision etc..

    Start49.. you would have to understand the circumstances, timeperiod/ requirement when the Mig-29 came in picture.. If you want.. I can give you the detailed history of Mig-29 and T-10 …. .. 🙂

    LCA was required more for the birth of the Indian Aviation, if not for any other reason.. if people want to believe…. if you consider MKI to be a competitive fighter in the world.. remember that a lot of tech in MKI was originally developed for LCA… the Jag anf Mig-27 upgrades are getting a lot of tech developed for LCA.. although we can deride/derate the LCA as much as we want.. but no way was it a pointless investment.. or an aircraft there of..

    I have seen all of these reports… man.. that’s why I was very clear in my post.. It’s not the entire package.. it’s the unit price.. all that has gone in.. now if you take into account all of the stuff under the MKI project then it will 100% would be quite high… I hope you are getting .. what I said and saying.. any ambiguity there??

    There should be TWO design bureaus with there own set of factories… no need to bring all under one…

    HAL cost is 32 and includes the foreign components.. but does not includes the licensing etc..

    IRKUT cost is 33.5 with components..

    Package cost includes every damn thing in the name of project MKI.. support equipments/weapons/….. to sweets etc etc…

    MKI is 33.5 .. unit cost.. not the package…
