Fair enough, Hurrifan
There’s always going to be some pillock that lets the side down.
Enjoyed me rant though, thanks for letting me vent !!!
Hurrifan,
You know for sure that they were clocking off?
How about they were responding to a call for assistance at the front desk of the station, or a prisoner had gone berserk in the cell block, did you see them get out of the car?…..were there any other cars driving the same way? were there any ambulances driving the same way or did you just make an assumption……
Yes, I’m a Police Officer……….but as you can see not in the UK anymore.I now police in a country where we call people ‘sir’, people call us ‘sir’ and they actually, and frequently, thank us for being there.
What a refreshing change!

Now all we need is “Angels One-Five” on DVD and life is complete…..for now!
Anyone know if it’s available?
Essential book purchase
I imagine that most people have this already, but Arthur Ward’s book “Airfix celebrating 50 years of the greatest plastic kits in the world”, isbn:0-00-472327-9…….is a nostalgic look at the company and has Roy Cross artworks and sketches and many photos that really roll the years back – highly recommended.
Thanks guys.
What was the venue for this? Somewhere near Niagra I guess? Is there a website?
The other French pilot was Lt Ernest Laverdure…….apparently there’s a new movie about these two involving Mirage 2000’s !
They are big comic book stars in France and more than one TV series/movie has been made.
Looks like the overseas subscribers are going to have to wait……….
Er, what free Flypast cd ?
Hi Jan,
In answer to your query:
“Then, at 0800 on that grey morning of 6 June, Priller and his wing man, Uffz.Heinz Wodarczyk, headed for their Focke- Wulfs, which as usual were parked just outside the command post. The Luftwaffe’s initial response to the invasion was underway.
Priller’s only orders to his longtime wingman were to stick close. They headed west at low altitude, spotting Spitfires above them as far east as Abbeville. Near Le Havre the duo climbed into the solid cloudbank. When they emerged, the ships of the largets assault landing in history were spread out before their eyes. After a shouted “good luck!” to Wodarcyzk, Priller dove for the beach at 400 miles per hour. The British soldiers on Sword, the easternmost of the five landing beaches, jumped for cover as the two fighters roared fifty feet overhead, their machine guns and cannon clattering. The fleet’s anti-aircraft guns opened fire with every gun that could track them, but the Focke-Wulfs flew through the barrage unscathed.
After traversing the beach, the two pilots climbed for the clouds, honour satisfied.”

I admit to being suprised at being told to get a graphics card………….
Seems that if you take the time to look at the video settings, things improve no end…….I’ll get my coat…… 😮
