Scratching of heads with our Canberra is normal, but great fun. We started off with a plan to replicate a B2 but when I searched around Google for images to copy, every time I found a new picture it was different from the last one so initially we just decided that’s what we will try to copy. TT18 inside shots are not easy to find but now with your link we have a better idea what to replicate. We are not trying to get her perfect that probably wont be do-able, we just want her to look as representative as is possible.

That’s an excellent link, thank you very much, images show everything I need to allow us to get our cockpit more accurate. One interesting point is that we have got our cockpit gauges wrong, we have all the right ones just not in the right places, an easy fix for us. Our Engine panel is also different from images, I am beginning to think its the wrong one.

The current state of the Navigators Station, again any help with what goes in where or even images would be of great help to us.

Yes, Rebecca Mk 8. It is the IFF unit, and was fitted in most aircraft of the time. The box itself is just the control head, and is connected to the main unit by a 20 odd way Plessey connector at the rear.

If anyone has one, I need a complete set up, for use in a Vampire!

    Thanks Bruce

I thought you might be interested in this shot I took of her just after she arrived at Lyneham from Henlow in 1987

In that case, seen at Kinloss, note the City of Lincoln Badge on the Starboard side of the cockpit only

    Scrapped at Woodford January/February 2011.

She ended her flying days at Waddington having been used by 51 Sqn, she was dismantled in 2007 and taken to Woodford in December of that year as part of the MRA program, she was never converted to an MRA4 though, and was scrapped at Woodford

    Other work on WR963:

Inside the aircraft our electricians are still trying to revive the PTR 1751 V/UHF radio, so we can use it alongside the PTR 175 – allowing better contact with the tower here at Coventry. It appears the control box is dead – anybody know where we can get a spare? These are the numbers:

    Control Radio Station (Plessey Avionics)
    PV1754X (Preset/Manual) 630/1/37854/019
    10L 7564393 NATO No. 5821-99-756-4393

The Nimrod has a twin PTR1751 fit, is it possible your can borrow one from XV232

I dont want you to get your hopes up about her restoration, but she,s been it that position since at least October 2009 when I last went to Pima and took this
