Just wanted to add some more must see photos…
It is good news indeed, if it entirely true.
Lovely aircraft and color scheme

Anybody know what happened to the A340-500s that Air Canada ordered
Both aircraft were put into storage in July 2003 at Chateauroux-Deols(Marcel- Dassault) CHR / LFLX, France. One still remains without engines at CHR and one flys daily from TLS with crews from EK and SQ… Of course these are the only two built and whether they and the rest of the 345 and 346 order are to be delivered is yet to be determined.

What routes will the aircraft be operating on? Maybe they should introduce services to Sydney!
Well, as previously said, no SYD. But, we will see them on CDG-JFK in May and then when enough have joined the fleet daily CDG-NRT will begin along with some more CDG-JFK flights here and there. Still not sure on other routes though.
Just a side note, im still trying to find the numbers for the possible 7E7 order- probably they will run from somewhere between 23-35, based on how many 332 they have and of course expansion.

Quite the collection, very nice equipment.
Thanks for the response.

Agreed, there is no need for the extreme range. I think some of their longer routes are to the U.S. west coast, Asia, and Australia. But of course U.K. to Australia is way to far for the 345 and 772LR for that matter, and the others can be accomplished by their current equipment. IMO, we could see 346HGW orders in the future but not the 345. But hey, maybe im wrong. The 345 would look very nice in the VS c/s:)
Very nice pics, i am a huge fan of philippe noret’s shots.

Hope you feel better. I was in a head on crash last September, not fun at all. Again ,though, hope you have a good recovery.
