dartie,
The A345 will first be used to the United States west coast, i think LAX first and but im not sure of all of the other routes. It will be fitted in a two class layout with 180 seats total, they are aiming towards the high-end market with the new aircraft.
Please correct me if im wrong-
Matt
Beautiful aircraft, cant wait to see it in full c/s, it will be amazing:eek:

I would love to see the 345 fly with AC, it could have been used on routes like YYZ-HKG, YVR-SYD, YYZ-NRT, YYZ- Korea? It could have been also used on the India route an it would alow more cargo with its increased MTOW. Although i think there is an 85% cap on the number of passengers because of a bilateral agreement wiht India( I not 100% sure though). Any other routes that they could do?
IMHO, i think AC should take delivery of its 345s and 346s. Yes, they are not at the best time for it but it could work out to be an advantage in the long run. They could have a long haul fleet consiting of:
A333’s
A343’s
A345’s
A346’s
After the retirement of the 744s early next year this fleet would suit them well. Is there anyway AC could take delivery? Also, would the acceptance of the Aircraft be a problem, i know there are two 345’s waiting of them but would they have to wait for a new production slot on the 330/340 line?
Matt
sorry, for some reason i cant post the photo- but it can be found on A. net under The A340-500 search category.
This photo was just released of another( or the same?) A345 for EK. The quote say the aircraft was painted at Paris, Orly. Why was the aircraft painted at Orly intstead of Airbus’ facilities at Toulouse?
Thanks for any help- Matt
I just found this beauty-
Another question that I forgot to ask is when LH recieves thier A333’s.
Any help would be much appreciated- Matt
I dont know all the facts but ill give your questions a shot-
1.) I would have to say Bombardier, the only other could Fairchild Dornier( which at this point is not a major threat) Also, i belive a chinese manufacturer is producing an aircraft in Embraer range, i think its called the ARJ21.It seats also in the 70-100 range.( correct me if im wrong about this aircraft).
2.) I can see Embraer encroaching into the lower end of Boeing’s and Airbus’ range of aircraft. Although they may carry on with the RJ’s simply because they provide a good source of income.
3.) Sorry, dont know if Embraer is looking at a larger plane but IMO the 195 will be the largest production model for Embraer for the near future( no sooner than 2012)
4.) Well, the most comperable would have to be either the Airbus 318 or Boeing 717( this is pushing it though because the are in a larger weight range than the 170, 190, and 195 lines) and the Bombardier -900( although on the lighter side and not to mention less capacity). Please correct me if any of my info is wrong.
Hope that at least some of my info helps-
Matt
Thanks for the info Dartie
Matt
great pics, i really love the new corporate c/s of Duo:D
Pembo330, the A345 is a stretch of the A343, it has the same wingspan as the A346 but is only 222ft 6in( 67.8m) long. (fyi, the A343 measures in at 208ft 10in(63.60m)
Hope this helps- ACA345
thanks mark , now i know they fly into LGW,so i can mention the rumor was that they would use the aircraft into Gatwick instead of Heathrow.
Well, i think i heard somthing about it being used on the london route but i am not sure if it is true. Oh yes, and does anybody know if EK flys to LGW, or just LHR?
Thanks- ACA345
My only momento that could be considered rare is a fountain pen from Canada 3000; it still works great!

I must say, that is one sharp aircraft. Although the lighting from the setting sun makes the colors looks a little different, when it is spotted in the full rays of the sun I can make a better judgement. BTW, when are the A330’s due for KLM?
