Like wannabe pilot said, I have always liked the mini. But unlike him, I havent got my hands of one yet. There are not too many in Florida, even the nice new ones, and to some extent I dont know if they are completely safe in the nice North American world of SUVs. I have a question though. Are they able to fit a 6’4” person like myself. And are they very efficient?
Great car there wannabe, the union jack roof is a winner 😎
Amazing. Simply amazing.
Here is another new pic from the same photographer on a french aviation forum. Enjoy everyone.

I have to say Kabir that you make a very good point, and I agree. Some areas of industry continue to build but in the commercial aviation sector as you said many factors have hindered the simple human drive to continue rapid development.
Thanks for your response-

A380 is a step back in aviation technologies, for choosing size over speed. And the B7e7 is nothing new or exceptional…hence its a standstill technology wise (dont count economics for once).
But then thats just my opinion.
Interesting ideas Kabir, could you elaborate more on your view the technologies and reasons behind the two aircraft?
Thanks

Air Transat is a very good charter airline. I have flown with them many times between PIE (St. Petersburg, Florida) and YYZ, at least 8 times I think. And a few of the times it was on the 310. I must say that the coach seating is pretty cozy, esp for a 6’5” person like myself. You might want to consider upgrading if you can (this upgrade is available at check in if seats are available). I am not sure if every 310 has the upgrade seats but I have seen them and they are a definite improvment. Food was not bad and I have never had a problem with the crew.
Hope they have a good flight.

With both airlines operating relatively small fleets of the 380 I see no reason not too. As long as everything is used properly and equally divided and employed there should only be good results in the end. The consolidation of new facilities will as you said only lead to more efficient opps. I could see and alliance like AF & KLM but probably not a merger. Any cooperation in that arena of the world will work because Qantas has a fair presence as SIN and SQ has many flights to all australian cities.
Your are right Ren, it was ValueJet. But later they became AirTran.
On the subject of Hurricanes, I have had the pleasure to be here for all of them so far. In my area we avoided Bonnie and Charley, but did not get so fortunate with Frances which luckily was not to powerful. And now we have Ivan. As of 11 a.m. the track is keeping it way west of Tampa Bay but it may turn early placing it more in our area. Hopefully I dont get the pleasure of being in a category 4 or 5 Hurricane. Those storms essentially shut down everthing for almost a year before everything is back up.
You are right too, the 346 is a wonderful aircraft.
I do not mind the Star c/s at all really. It does lack in visual qualities, but it is simply a modern corporate brand. My question is why SQ have departed from all the other Star aircraft of other ailines. On the SQ aircraft it lacks the tail, and the immense lettering. Was this for a distinct reason?
According to the photographer, he achieved this photo with the 100-400 L IS Canon Lens with I believe the 10D (not sure on the body). With the aid of the IS and a fairly fast aperature it is a very achievable photo. With regards to the shadow, there is none because the angle is wrong and the plane is at that point way to high to produce a defined shadow. The cessna he was in was using a special ATC granted flight path that runs North along the beaches and crosses over the flight paths out of LAX. We first saw this route put to use by Sam Chui, and now others are discovering this little treasure. I have no doubt in my mind that the photo is anything but real. It truly is great work.
