I really enjoy your work, thank you!! With regards to the tail, I still think it may be curved. This is based on Boeing’s own recent renderings of ANA’s 7E7.
A great moment in Aviation history. This fantastic news made my day. Hopefully more orders soon…
Just some speculation, but I have heard that it may have been a loading error. The manifest was not accurate thus leading to further miscalculations. And the “Main Braking System” was most likely damaged when the aircraft’s undercarriage struck approach lights and the ground at the end of the runway.
IMO, this has not alot to do with the FBW or the “underpowered” A343 but with number miscalculations. I may be wrong though…
How about one more from Ek…
I am extremely unhappy about your departure, you were one of the best members on this forum. But your decision is your decision. But as Ren said, please check in again.
While on the subject of the A380…

I can not say no, but it was not just Airbus that caused to Concorde retirement. The main cause was the simple economics. It was not an economical aircraft. Simply not a big enough market. A second reason that could be argued is the Air France Concorde crash after departure from CDG. These, and other causes, all contributed to the retirement of the Concorde. As an aviation enthusiast, I am still sad to see photos such as this, but what happened has happened.
Sorry- wannabe pilot just posted before me…
Well, most likely no. But the aircraft will be equiped with a brand new business class with PTVs. The 2 345s are now slated for delivery in June and May of this year. The 346s on order will be put off until 2010.
Did this experiment have any affect on the Pacific commercial aircraft routes. Of course, at 100,000 ft it would not have any interference but what comes up must come down. Is there alot of traffic of the SW of California (a few hundred miles) to be affected.
Just curious…
This is a long shot, but maybe EK will come to TPA. But, I doubt it.
Anyway, its good to see more new routes to the U.K. from DXB.
You cant go wrong when flying in the VS fleet; all fantastic aircraft.
Whatever your decision, good luck to you!!!
One aircraft was, at the time of the news release a few days ago, already in TLS with pilots from airlines like SQ and EK training on it. Over the past weeks the training frequency died down but it remainded there. The second aircraft was as you said in Chateauroux without engines. The engines have now been reinstalled, or will soon be reinstalled, and it will return to TLS for any work that needs to be done.
As far as the 340s at Mojave, I was not aware of it. From what I thought there were 762s and 744s but of course of might be wrong.
Im currently fixin up my car to bring her back to her original condition. She is a 1985 BMW 524 turbo diesel. A little paint and some engine work and she will in fantastic shape. I cant wait!!!

Doesent VS do LHR-Tokyo over the polor route?
I do not think that it is polar. The 346 is used on this route and its routing puts it over southern Sweden, south-western parts of Russia, Kazakstan, Mongolia, North-eastern parts of China and then onto Japan. This by no means an exact routing but it gives a good idea of how the aircraft reaches its destination.
