Look like a great show, which Sea Fury was it?
Like the Harvard looking like a Hellcat!:)
HAWKER SEA FURY FB.11 ,F-AZXJ
I’ve updated the text yesterday after a long google puzzle :
HAWKER SEA FURY FB.11 ,F-AZXJ as Royal Australian Navy WH589 coded 115-NW.
This Fury is ex Royal Navy TF987 and was used by Iraq as 316.
Around 1980 transferred to the US and registered N56SF.
At some stage transferred to a Sea Fury T.20 model.
Flew as in Royal Navy Colors coded 737R.
N56SF was lost in an accident July 2001.
Rebuild in California and first flight after rebuild in 2009.
Now equipped with a Wright R-3350 engine with 4-bladed prop.
Surprised to find this is actualy the N56SF 737-R I saw in Abbotsford.
It was lost soon after the show killing the pilot.
Hopefully the story above is correct.

Lovely pics Johan…thanks for posting them!
The spitfire looks like a replica to me…I only say that because the elevators are set to neutral,on a real a/c they would either be fully down or sometimes ‘up’ if locked…obviously I cannot be 100% sure just from a photo 🙂rgds baz
Thanks Baz
The details of the elevator is new to me.
Will keep this in mind.
Johan
plastic, or better composite. will never fly!!!!

Thanks YP
It was already obvious that it was more a replica than a real one.
Strapped together landing gear ,empty canopy ,clean exhaust and a fake serial (ML407OU-V is the airworthy T.9)
Although ,couldn’t find any reference on the web recarding a replica in this markings.
case solved ,

Thanks Melvyn ,
Great pictures specially the sunset one.
I didn’t see the Strutter flying.
Left too early or it flew too late..
Johan
Thanks Andy ,
In that case you must have seen the new Sopwith Strutter flying.
Did you have a good look at the spitfire — Real or fake? —

I´ve updated my photoset from MOTAT with a few scans from 1998.
They show the remarkable improvement of the museum display ,Although most scans are made in the restoration facility.
The main museum building was basicly too dark for photos.

2 Anson photos from my Yahoo stream
The Anson XIX at a car museum in the southern parts of the Netherlands by 1980 to 1990 or so. The collection closed re-located and focused on oldtimers only.
I understand the Anson is now on display somewhere in the northern parts of the country.

ANSON SRS.2 ,VM352 (RNLAF”D-26″)
2nd photo : the Anson at Hendon
ANSON I ,VH-ASM (RAF “W206868”) Fuselage

It is not a PV-2 outside Johan, it is an RB-34 Lexington, which in RNZAF service was, like our PV-1s, known as a Ventura.
Thanks Dave for the correction.
Indeed a PV-2 is a Harpoon ,my mistake.
The Type name “Lexington” is unknown to me.
Another learning moment today.

Hopefully I´ve added the correct text with my photos regarding the ID of the Tiger Moths

DH-82A TIGER MOTH ,ZK-BAD (“NZ77546”)

DH-82A TIGER MOTH ,ZK-AIN (“ZK-ANN”)
Any confirmation on these?

Both the big ‘boats were planned to come into the new hangar. However the plan is now to build a large open-ended ‘tent’ off the hangar, which will enable work to continue more easily on the Sunderland (Solent mainly just needs the painting finished, she was inside until 2010).
http://rnzaf.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=Airshows&thread=11025&post=155146
When the hangar was spec’ed and costed, they weren’t expecting a Skyhawk, Strikemaster, and ‘Macchi (and maybe Huey or Sioux?).
Thanks for the update and the link.
Indeed the collection has changed already.
Hopefully they keep a free view on the Lancaster ,without anything in front.

Johan
Thanks for the Photos, had a great time exploring inside the Lanc and Solent when I visited, very friendly museum! however i’m sad to see the solent outside, let’s hope that it’s not going to be out there for long 🙁
Can´t remember the inside of the Solent. But I have some photo prints of the Lanc inside (1998)
This time the Lanc was closed.
Will upload these photoprints on my stream soon.
