She wasnt a Kiwi though, she is a Somali and my partner who works at a local bank knows who she is and she is a nasty bit of work!
Needs to be shot for putting her fellow passengers through this ordeal!
Well done to the Air-Crew for dealing with this drama:mad:

There was talk a few months ago that a few (maybe 3 or 4) ex-Saudi Tornados may end up in Lebanon. But the air force was not too excited because of the reasons already stated above, like maintanence and flying costs. Some say this is still a possibility since these will be donated for free.

The Americans recently floated the idea of TA-4 Skyhawks being transfered to Lebanon, Id doubt Lebanon could keep Skyhawks going let alone Tornados

[QUOTE=slipperysam;1196272]So the French reveal “Aussie” tigers will be deployed before the Australian government tells everyone???

Oh come on….. (In case you all live in a bubble… we now have a new government here.)

yea but the new labour goverment is commited to the mission in Afganistan and will more than likely commit more troops etc.
Even our left-wing tree hugging Labour goverment is commited to Afganistan unlike Iraq

There’s an idea, any chance of ever seeing a ‘Thud’ in the air again, I’d love to see that?

Or, if not an F-105, how about an A-5 Vigilante? Should still be easy to find parts for the J79 engine after all!:)

It would be amazing to see a F-105 or even a A-5 up in the air , im no expert but they would be two of the hardest planes to get going again.
Are there still any Thunderchiefs at AMARC?

A mate of mine who work for Safe-air was 1 of the guys who worked on restoring the Collings TA-4 Skyhawk just got back from the States working on another TA-4 and he was also talking about the Viggen and reckoned that there are plans to get it flying but that they are not firm plans.
I thought the Collins Foundation are more concerned with American aviation history so why would they want to fly a Viggen?
Whilest I think the Viggen is a great aircraft id rather see a F-105 etc getting back in the air

Ive never fired a AK-47 but I do have a Chinese SKS which is very similar to the AK-47.
I have fitted a 30 round mag along with a aftermarket stock and while she is not the most accurate she will and has taken down many a deer as long as im within 150m or so.
Ive heard stories of the SKS and the AK-47 still being used after spending time under water which id tend to believe, my father has a SLR which is ex NZ Army and again while its a bit on the well-used side it is a tough weapon and dependable.
The SKS is semi auto while the SLR will go automatic but in this day and age running around the bush rattling off rounds upsets people and as such I have not heard her in full auto for years. also the appearance of the SLR upsets people while the SKS looks like a bog standard hunting rifle.
308 rounds are a pricey round and as such we buy ex-military rounds which up till about 5yrs ago was x-korean war ammo, cheap but you ran the risk of a damp round or 2 but never did we have a mis-fire.
Both are heavy beasts but tough as old boots

If the US was ordering Chinese-built kalashnikovs from the PRC from the 1970s on, why not add a few neat agressor planes

AK-47s from China? Do you have any info on that? I find it amazing that the States ordered rifles etc from China considering the relationship.

Great, military taking judicial and executive power into its own hands while pissing on most human and civil rights.

And all it does is spurning the black markets and driving prices up. The ones actually responsible for the transport, sitting somewhere in safety, are rubbing their hands and calculating their new profit margin.

    Way to go.

Didnt take long for the Left-Wing, Do-Gooders, Lovey- Dovey, Hug a Terroist crap to find its way on this thread! Anyway its good practice for the F111 crew, hopefully a video will be released

I read that the USAF has some early model Flankers so while they will be basic versions would the USAF have not already put the Raptor up against its Flankers?… if so would they not have an idea how the Raptor would fare?

I remember reading all the rubbish that used to posted here about how the F-22 had poor agility and in WVR could never match the beloved Flankers and Fulcrums, it all mysteriously disappeared when we started to see videos of some very impressive Raptor Demos.

Exactly! Some -one else has noticed that

NZ A-4k skyhawks use to crack the sound barrier in a dive, but as to how fast im not sure.
Does any-one know how fast Singapore A-4s go? I read that the prototype Super Skyhawk could out accellerate the F-5e chase plane, is that true?
