Go on Richard-give it your best shot! I’d love to see Virgin pull this one off.
I agree with greekdude….The Hammer and Sickle means Aeroflot. Its as much part of the airline scene as the PanAm “meatball” and the TWA “twin globes”. Why change for changes sake? Well Im pleased that it looks like the symbol will stay after all, and long may it do so. If that makes me a nostalgia freak or worse then just put me down guilty as charged!! And keltic, I think that you’ll find that the current LH logo was in use during the Nazi era-certainly in the early part if not all the way through.
I can remember the best aeroplane toy that I had was a large tinplate Lockheed Electra in the “lightning bolt” American Airlines colours. It was battery operated and all 4 props worked as did the “nav lights” and illumination in the flight deck, I think it was made in Japan. I have never seen another one but what I wouldn’t give to play with it just one more time!
Please don’t do that Andy…..Those models that you posted the other day looked great and so much detail! These bigger models are very rarely detailed to that extent. I shall find out more about those Gemini Jets? I’ve never seen them “in the flesh”.
Like all these things I guess its down to personal taste. Boring if we all liked the same liveries.
Hi Andy, as requested new pic of BCAL A310. Its a great livery on anything but looks the DBs on the 310! Enjoy.
Nice one Saab, totally agree. Personally if Virgin is seriously prepared to give Concorde operations a go then I’m all for it, and if BA won’t part with theirs to him I am fairly sure that the French would.
Well done Teeside…….Youv’e got the only LoCo airline that I’ve got any time for, Good luck to them!
Nice pics guys! Our hobby will be all the duller without her.
Ah what might have been. London to Peking by Concorde!
No Ren not me! But I wonder what happened to the models from the Iraqi Airlines HQ in Baghdad….I think I can guess.
Andy, give me a day or two and I’ll get some pics to you of Cally A310. So new that I have yet to photograph it!
Gaurav……Yep! I’ll go with that.
That Concorde looks good!
Thanks Andy…..Latest additions are a 1/50 737-200 in BA “Landor” colours, a 1/72 DC8-43 in 60s Alitalia colours, unusual in that it has full undercarriage instead of sitting on a display stand, a 1/72 DC8-63 in VIASA livery, and last but not least a 1/50 B-CAL A310, I love that scheme on the A310.
