Is it the bankers who have trained the Brussels bureaucrats in accountability and ethics, or is it the other way round? Same game…..different badges.:diablo:

So we have to notify the EU of our intention to leave before anything can happen.

Please God, we don’t, without considering the pros and cons very carefully indeed.

Saw an interesting bit of ‘vox pop’ on RT today. A Swiss woman interviewed on the streets of Berlin, said that yes, Switzerland goes it alone in Europe, and maybe Britain should do the same, but she cautioned, that we Swiss have lots of money, but you British don’t. An interesting point of view;)

I’m still inclined to think that we should stay in. I would really be interested in the opinions of the anti EU members, as to what the economic future would be, for a UK outside the EU.

Thanks Peter:) the TAE one was either leased from Sterling, or purchased from them.

Thanks MSR777 – I have a couple more Caravelle shots but I am worried we may get Caravelle photos banned from the thread 😀

I think you’ll be safe on that one. You can never have too much grace and beauty:D:D

Quote by Potagee: ‘Excuse the thread hijack but the Caravelles, why do some have the extended spine running down from the tail when others of apparently the same version don’t.

THe Luxair and the Sterling are both listed as 6s’

I think I’m right, in that earlier versions of the Caravelle, had the HF antenna housed in a dorsal fuselage fairing. On later versions, with the improvement of radio technology, that early arrangement was no longer required. I’m not aware of any airlines that updated, and had the fairing removed.

Old Git. Love those shots, especially, you guessed it, that Caravelle:)

I never get bored with seeing Caravelles. Just look at the Luxair shot, complete with an Austrian Caravelle, and a Swissair Coronado. In the course of my work some years ago, I was lucky enough to fly on Caravelles twice, one a Sterling, and the other a Transwede example. Prior to that, back in ’73 I flew on a Transeuropa one, on a family holiday. Love the Finnair livery on the 10B

Sounds a good idea, but personally, I’ve never heard of it.

Serj. You’re doing all the right things. It’s still early days for the ‘summer hire’ but, the process will have started with some companies about now. Some are faster at it than others, but patience and perseverance, should eventually pay off, keep going!

Thanks Peter. DM-SEB was the second Il62 delivered to Interflug. DM-SEA was the first Il62 that IF received, back in 1970. Sadly it was involved in a fatal crash, two years later.

Look forward to some more IF shots, when you have time Peter.

I never used to think that much of the 787, but its growing on me, especially in that livery. A nice batch of pics.
