    Poles apart.

The inhabitants did not want to be ruled by the country who had made 30,000 people ‘dissappear’ over the previous few years. (and they still don’t now)

And I dare say the Palestinians feel the same way. And it would be interesting to know who supplied the means by which the Argentinian junta ‘achieved what it did

I think I’m right in that the early BOAC Conway 707s also had one on the starboard wingtip.

Some lovely shots! The Gulfstream is IMO, is one of the most beautiful jet designs out there.

Great ! You made it down there then. Excellent.

Yes thanks mate. It was a totally unexpected trip. What a day! We arrived at 10am, and left at around 6.30. Twenty years ago since I’d been there. Little Bro was gobsmacked, it was him that wanted to stay so long. He desperately wanted to see an A380 close up, and they don’t get much closer than when they’re skimming the rooftops of dear ‘ol Myrtle Ave. In the end, we were both treated to 3 of them, and I got to see my Egyptair 777:) It did make me realise how much I still miss working in the industry, but hey, it was a great day out….trouble is, he wants to go again! How will I cope?

I think the time may have come for a Tactical Cruise missile strike on Syria . a. Govenment building. b.Radio/TV station .c. at least one Army base ( Tank) . & maybe an Important Power Station .

Then we need to ****** off & swear we know nothing about it !!:diablo:

That would achieve nothing, other than making an emasculated ‘superpower’ feel better for a short while:rolleyes:

And a similar strike against Israel?

You’ve more chance of plaiting fog than seeing that;)

As usual, some very nice shots. I often see that Tahiti Nui ‘contrailing’ over my home.

On the face of it, I don’t suppose that re-arranging the holidays would be too bad. However, some of them are tied to events that took place on a specific date, so how would this re-arrangement work? What would worry me, would be that if these bank holidays are ‘uncoupled’ from their relative events, it could be used as an excuse to reduce the number of days still further. Governments and SOME employers being what they are, I wouldn’t trust either not to take advantage of the situation. It could be the top of a very slippery slope.

Some brilliant shots, especially that Jordanian 330. Last week courtesy of my younger brother, I enjoyed best part of the day at Myrtle Avenue. First visit in 20 years for me, it was fantastic. I’ll never forget the sight of an approaching SIA A380 filling the sky, whilst skimming the rooftops of the houses, just awesome!

Spot on ! More emphasis on good manners rather than prescriptive rights and wrongs. Censorship is much favoured by totalitarian regimes.

    John Green

And not only by totalitarian ones.
