That’s a good question actually, as I would be just as happy to browse such a site! As it stands, I couldn’t find much that was upto the pro image that Airliners.net etc gives.
The only okay amateur picture site I could find was this.
Personally, I always use NetCarShow to look at the newest models of car pictures along with a lot of helpful information. It also has a lot of previous models of certain makes, I know this isn’t exactly what you were looking for, as these are the “official” manufacturer shots but they are interesting none the less.
Hope this helps!

Sorry, but you deserved it. 🙂 Just pay it; it’s only £25 after all and you were in the wrong.
Someone had to…. 😀 aha.
Thanks again for all the replies everyone, it’s interesting to hear your stories as well so keep them coming if you have them.

Well of course Jim but the Police have a 24/7 job to do for the community, I can’t imagine any “Civil Enforcement Officers” to use a council term think like this. Like many a person, I imagine they want to leave on time….

Well it’s 50p an hour so I paid at 10:45am, I got back to my car around 17:05 (I finish work at 17:00 – minus getting my stuff and walking out to the car), this has happend in the past and time hasn’t been an issue.
I was well aware of the risk but as I said before, with it being dark and I as I do park their fairly regulary, the consensus is they finish at 5pm I thought I’d be honestly okay. The charging period for the car park is 8am-6pm so it wasn’t the end of the charging period, as myself and other people have said, “technically” it is a legit parking ticket but as you said it could be argued it’s over zealous, do you think they would have some policy about how long they should wait etc?
I do park their regulary, but I also clean out my car regulary so dont let the tickets pile up, plus I don’t need reminding how much of my salary goes into paying for parking. However I do have a friend inside work who has been in a similar situation and did argue that she pays everyday and on one occasion she was late (due to a lack of staffing within work) and she managed to get it cancelled, I don’t believe they demanded she show proof of previous tickets etc.
Like you say, I could at least ask her advice and try and see?

I don’t see the need Jim?!. It’s common knowledge parking tickets have no effect at all on your insurance policy. There’s a reason they ask you if you’ve had any accidents or convictions in the past 3/5 years, no reason at all for parking fines….

I did notice that comment too, I think potentially he’s just made a mix up with say a speeding conviction or something. Just as well a parking fine doesn’t increase your premium, it wouldn’t be worth insuring me….:diablo:

Thanks for the replies again and the interesting story Merlin, as has been said I do not think this fine is worth chasing up as it was basically all legit, I guess I was just clutching at straws!!
It’s nothing short of a complete ball ache but that’s life, trying to think what I can cut out now to save that £25 now ……

At pistonrob: Thanks for the reply, now that I’m home and have scoured the internet and got the opinion of many of you, I think that’s exactly what Im going to do. I do agree with your comments entirely, thanks again :).
At Lincoln 7: Hi Jim, thanks for the supportive words!! Yes, I basically think I’m going to end up paying it now unfortunately. It is “technically” justified but it seems ridiculous that I would get one and someone 20m away wouldn’t, not to mention anyone elses car who ticket that may of been up as well.
As was said before they usually seem to sod off home around 5pm now, especially as it’s basically dark by this time, I figured I’d be fine and they wouldn’t be walking around with a torch or something. I think I’ve just been very unlucky, he remembered looking at my car and some point and I was his last catch of the day….
As people have pointed out, I don’t think the tax disc number holds anything. The details on the ticket – make/colour/registration/tax disc expiry date, make it the correct vehicle.
Also, if I did try and swindle them and say I had a ticket that expired at 16:53 and got away with it, great!! However if they had evidence, it would make me look foolish and I suspect their rule of “generally” extending the period for the cheaper price may be thrown out the window because I tried to pull a fast one.
I wouldn’t wanna lose out and end up paying £50, it’s a crappy 50/50 situation and even saving £25 doesn’t seem to be worth the risk :(. Thanks again for your reply Jim.
