Well you would say that Tom 😀
Location: East Sussex, 15miles from Gatwick
Plus I think this thread is drifting off topic, it says “European” summer meet, now we are of course talking outside the UK (Not MAN/LGW) with places like the one’s Stuart suggested in the original post (AMS/ZRH etc).
The livery certainly fits the aircraft well I must say.
Paris ‘Charles de Gaulle’ International Airport
Hope I didn’t spell that wrong! 😀
Would also be a blatant copy of the airliners.net MAD/LPA meet which took place last October
P.S. They got an A340-300 MAD-LPA-MAD
Why the hell is that at all relevent, just because A.net did it first means that we can’t do it? or maybe it was such a brillaint idea we just thought we may want to do it?
Pointless reply
The combination of the BA livery and the B777 with GE-90 engines make it one of the best looking aircraft around.
Nice selection mate, LHR is on my list this year of airports to visit :D.
Just wierd that you cannot book them on the Eithad website, must be a fault of somesort. Let’s just hope all these MAN spotters don’t line up ready for the inaugural arrival and it’ll be a big dissapointent!
Still there is alot of compatition on the general ‘Middle-East’ routes from MAN now, we’ll have to see how it turns out. Is one due for failure?
Great shots Tom! Really like that EI320 taking off with it’s gear going up. I’m haven’t looked at any of my shots yet…I’ll have a quick edit of a few of them in a minute.
Thanks Dan, that was one of my favourites – they really varied as some were just plain crap. You must have quite a few anyway?!
Thanks again people :).
Yes that is a very nice selection Stuart! 😀 I seem to have been the only one who didn’t take pictures of Andrew and Mark by the road!
Fantastic shots there Tom.
One thing to get used to on DSLR is dust on the sensor !!!!
I think there’s a tiny speck on yours at the moment! It’s in the same position on all of the shots.
On the A330 shot it’s directly above the nearest engine cowling.
A very easy way to see where the spots are:-
open the image in Photoshop or PSP. change the LEVELS, make sure preview is turned on to see the realtime changes. Drag the LEFT slider to the right, as the image darkens, you’ll see Mr Dust.
One of the downfalls of DSLR’s :-(. I must have cleaned mine 3 times in the past month!

Indeed you are right mate,if I was honest I only noticed it on the bmi A321. Well that’s grand, got loads in the JP.net queue as possible rejections for dust spots! 😀
Ta for pointing it out anyway 😉 🙂 .
unlike BHX.
Wouldn’t surpirse me if they do that on purpose, we all know BHX and FR don’t really like each other! 😀
I do love listening to that site, happened to be listening when that Midwest B717 had the emergency landing at BOS not long back, gives a whole new perspective on the thing. Can listen for ages.
I know what you mean Craig, certainly gives it the bizjet kind of look but spend a few hours at DUB and you’ll never want to see one again! 😀
Great shots Tom! I’m not even going to bother posting mine what with all this expensive kit floating around
Yes Mark, I must admit I wouldn’t mind seeing everyone’s shots!
Thanks again for the comments :).
That’s not very nice!
Nah mate I’m joking 😮 , but if I fell back into that I would expect a laugh or two 😉 😀 :p .
