Ben usually HID lights need a ballast.

Well these eBay kits do come with them :).

Well in that link the HID kit has a Kelvin temp of 12000k, although others are available going down to about 6000k. I do like the hint of blue though but as with my experience of xenon bulbs which were 8000k the amount of useable light went down.

Although that link doesn’t state it’s legal, the vast majority of the kits on there do state they have the various certifications to say they are road legal.

edit…looking at the ebay item,I am not sure if just replacing the bulb is a good idea, are ‘proper’ hid reflectors always a very different design to avoid too much dazzle for oncoming drivers ? My hid unit on the vec is very different to a standard unit.

This is a very good question bazv, as you say I don’t know if the standard plastic headlight units are suitable.

Nashio966, presumably you didnt modify or change the headlight units? I’ll have to look into that.

    Agreed Steve :).

Was a little bit of confusion at first for me! I thought he meant John Simpson, as in the World Affairs Editor of BBC News!

Thanks for the quick answer Nashio966 :), any recommendations about where to purchase them from? Are they as easy to fit as the videos on YouTube make out?!

Any other advice would be great too.

    Thanks 😀

Interesting webcam view of the volcano itself, its not a smooth streaming image but it seems to update itself every couple of seconds. A good reminder of how much ash that thing is belting out I think….

I think this is OLD news. It was reported on another site and, after a little digging, was found to be a story some two years old!

Don’t think she won then? 😀

Kind of makes all us arguing pointless…………:diablo:

Certainly didn’t come across as racist to me, it did however as everyone else has said be one of the best films I’ve seen in recent years!! Was even more happy to pick it up from HMV a couple of weeks ago for 8 quid :D.

The film caused much controversy in Nigeria down to how the gangsters in District 9 were portrayed etc….
