Well here we are again people! literally flying 😉 through this world tour at great speed! anyway our next leg was onto Lusaka in Zambia, I had stated I was going to be using an SAA A342 but that is now not going to happen because it refuses to work for me!
So in it’s place is in my opinion even ebtter 😎 Finnair MD-11 (OH-LGD), here’s my landing in Lusaka…

Then in an unexpected descion we decided to carry onto Kinshasa in The Congo and this is where we end our screenies for tonight…here’s my departure from Lusaka and parked next to Ben on the ramp at Kinshasa.

That’s how he appeared to me anyway 😀 :diablo: .
Hope you enjoyed 🙂 .

Fantastic selection as always mate :D, that SP is one sure fire beauty and was a great flight to end 2006 on. Well this flight was due to be operated by SAA A342 (I forget the reg!) but unfortunatley she went ‘tech’ on the ramp in Rio (the panel wouldn’t load ;)) and as we were behind schedule good ole’ BA workhorse of mine G-BNLF had to fill the gap for Springbok 008.
She’ll be ready for our next jaunt 😎 but anyway on with the screenies! just the landing shots from me on 3L and very windy it was too! 😮
Just over the numbers and the wind is still throwing us about…
Steady now!
Slammed her down on the left main gear but it was all in good fun! :D.
Enjoy! and happy new year all 🙂 .

Ooooo Peter Max! lucky you :D…
Great selection matey! 🙂 😎 .
Jeez Tom I thought you would of known by now where’s the members birthdays are listed and who’s he’s obviously referring too 😀 :dev2:.
Happy Birthday Britannia 😀 .
Well I’ve picked 4! as it’s hard for me to narrow it down…
We had plenty of visits from these other the Winter 05/06 period but most were on work days or just not compatible days except this one! January 21st we had two in at the same time but of the course the problem was they departed at around 6am or something.
Delays are a good thing sometimes :D.
This was in town to pick up a Russian orchastra who played in town! a great sight.
I know for many of you Conti 764s are nothing special but BHX tends to be an all 752 operation and I have to grab my chance when they occasionly bump up a flight to larger equipment. The weather was a bonus !
Last but not least is thie beauty, operating in place of a tech TOM 763 and I certainly wasnt complaining but 5am starts back then were something of a new thing for me 😉 . It was worth it……:D
Tom :).
Great shots from you aswell , looks abit windy in the second shot mate 😀 :diablo: .

Thanks James :).
Next and we were off to Rio! you know the drill, here’s the shots 😀 .

Landing in Rio was an unusual experiance, the random outcrops of high terrain always seemed to be in the way of my flightpath but I twisted and turned round them :diablo: .

The landing was kind of bumpy on the approach but it was all in good fun 😎 .

Correcting with the last few seconds to go and Ben in his “BA 744” 😉 having front row seats :D.

This aircraft looks fantastic at every angle 😎 .
Hope you enjoyed all :D.

Great shot there mate. NW haven’t quite retired the DC-10 yet they still use them to Japan and Honolou. Also on Troop charters.
I was referring to their retirement from trans-atlantic flights where people in the UK would have the best chance of seeing them in action…..
Guess I should of made that more clear 😀 :diablo: 😉 :dev2: .
