Fun landings in LBA this morning :D.

I would head up to see it if the weather wasn’t so crap!
Great report Jon, very enoyable read :D.
Very nice report Sam accompanied by some great pictures :).
Hi Andrew,
As Lance has already said the outside viewing area has gone now but there are other various spots around the BHX perimiter, firstly if you go further down the carpark to which the viewing area was attched (Long Stay 1) and continue right down to the RWY 33 threshold you’ll get some good views from there and use it regulary myself.
Be weary though a step ladder is advisable and if your in a car prepare to pay £6 for upto four hours and £10 after that four hour gap. You can also go to the Sheldon Country Park at the other end of the airport, I myself park in Marston Green rail station and simply walk down.
The bonus with this being it’s all free and you get some great landing shots and in some cases line up shots if 15 is in use, you can also carry on following the perimiter fence into the golf course and you’ll find a few locations along there to take pictures etc
Also last but not least you have the ‘Aviation Experiance’ inside Terminal One which is easily findable on the 1st floor and is a cheap £1 entry fee and gives good views of the airfield but the terminal roof tends to block the view of aircraft closet to you on stand.
If you need anything more detailed in the form of a map or something I wouldn’t mind emailing it to you! hope this helps.
Tom
By the by flyBE were putting the E195 on the route, not the DH8D. Unless they’ve changed their mind.
Indeed you are right Richard, I forgot this detail and just assumed the aircraft was the Q400.
“Flybe also announces that it will deploy the brand new Embraer 195 on the Birmingham – Aberdeen route which will allow increased passenger numbers on this key domestic route linking the Midlands with Scotland”
I agree Moggy, that was simply fantastic although FS2004 certainly isn’t over for me as I’ll be playing it for a while yet :D.
I think the better question is why bring this thread back from the 23rd July to ask that question.
Indeed they did but charters are alot easier to predict as most of us know what aircraft charters use from our local and most routes and can give you a good idea, with loco’s with last minute aircraft changes, tight schedules and what not there is really no way of giving you a precise answer.
My Bmibaby flights to Amsterdam last week for example were both scheduled to be B733s, I got the B733 on the way there but was surprised and chuffed to get a B735 on the way back.
My advice just sit back, chill and be plesantly surprised whatever you happen to get! whether it be a EZY B737 or and Eirjet A320 :D.
Well me and Danny (jonezi06) just been having some fun at SXM, I did (what I think to be) one of my best visual landings there to date in the default B773 (so don’t expect WOW graphics but they are great and quick-loading 😉 ) and with Danny as a witness, anyway here’s the shots dor you to enjoy .

I’ve never personally recycled anything, may of done it with my parents when I was younger and where I work has the area for recyling. As bad as it my sound, finding a recycle bin and taking any time out of my week isn’t at all on my list of things to do and probably never will be.

Well I cleared space, maybe you have to send it again :D.
Very nice! saw that Antonov in Palma last month :).
