Thanks Stuart, Paul and Tom! 🙂 and yes I am, extremely pleased :D.
Thanks once again for the comments :).
Thanks Matt and James, much appeciated 😎 .
I always wonder about people who obscure car number plates… Who cares? Or is it in expectation that BHX security reads these topics, and you don’t want to alert them to your serrepticious missions onto airport property to persue your hobby of aircraft photography? :p
Yes I was actually wondering the same thing when I was doing it but people just seem to for some reason..yeah that about covers my reasons for it :D. As for BHX security they don’t have a problem, I’m just waiting for one of them to say Hello!
PS: Nice pics BTW
PPS: Now, with a car, comes the challenge of parking, and often having to pay for such! 😉
Thanks Andy 🙂 and yes, £6.50 for four hours at BHX. It doesn’t get to you when it’s your first time driving a car mind you 😉 , I’m sure it will with a short period of time :diablo: .
Hey thanks for the comments all 😀
Guys – am gonna be in BHX for a bit this Thursday (25th) – does anyone have any suggestions for good place to get some photos aside from the viewing park? I will be on foot/public transport too btw.
cheers
Well firstly the Viewing Park is gone! completley flattened to create some more parking spaces for T2. What is withing walking distance of the terminal area is going to the very end of Long Stay carpark 1.
Simply take the same route as you would to the viewing park but walk all the way to the end of the carpark and you can get good views from there, pictures are possible through certain gaps in the fence but a ladder is preferable.
Alternativley if coming by train you can get off at Marston Green station just before BHX and go the Sheldon County Park. A great site is…

Never noticed but I love the way the Aer Arann Captain look’s very chilled with the landing so much as to have his arm leaning out of the window! 😀
Must of been the First Officers turn ;).
good pics mate, can you tell me how to get onto the carpark by the used to be outdoor veiwing area, when i went on holliday end of March they were diging the entrance up where the barriers are, you see i park on there to get some good approach shots. cheers, corky
The carpark and the entrance to it is still there, the road into it just diverts a little to the left because of the area they dug up and consequently flattened to create six new parking stands for Terminal 2.
To get where Tartan Pics was you just follow the carpark all the way to the end. You’l need a ladder preferably for photography.
‘Dull’ shouldn’t have been mentioned at all Paul! 😀
A great selection from you there, love that Learjet! look’s very 😎 .
Loving all these shots! just wish I was there myself.
Wish I could of got down there Ben 🙁 . We’ll have to organize something soon , nice shots though :D.
