I’ve also been following Joel’s outstanding work on this Harrier.
Hopefully an affordable model will come out of it in the future and if so, I’ll be first to buy one. 🙂
Here’s a link to his project on RCGroups.

Unfortunately, I’m going to have to sell this spinner.
I just don’t have the space to display it and the missus wants it gone from the top of our bedroom wardrobe!
Any idea what I should be asking for it?
I really don’t have a clue as it’s not something that comes up for sale very often.

I’ve searched and searched but can’t find anything on the serial number 8505 or could be 8565.

    Any ideas guys?

Many thanks for this, it’s obvious now that you pointed it out, doh!

So it’s possible it could have been manufactured before Rotol Airscrews Limited changed it’s name to Rotol Limited in 1943.

Was thinking more along the lines of AOP9. Sorry I should have been more specific. How is this for a match?

    Bingo, that’s a match.

    Thanks very much!

Seems very much like an engine side cowl from an Auster.

Had a quick look, close but no cigar I think.

Hello everyone, it’s my first post here.

Can anyone identify this panel currently on ebay. I’ve looked at hundreds of photos of WWII and early post war aircraft with no joy yet. It’s just under a metre long.

    Cheers
    Ben
