The Vulcan Valiant & Victor will not be together outside at Cosford but they will all be in the same end of the new building.
Peter,
There is ongoing restoration work being done on the Vulcan getting it ready for going into the new cold war building (so I have been told).
I think the doors you are asking about Peter is the bomb bay doors
The Britannia will not move from Cosford as it is a RAFM Aircraft as for the rest no one knows the state of the airframes other than the people involved so how can anyone judge what or if any are desposed of.
I think Nigel Price has it spot on in the Editorial of March Flypast
That long David I wonder
Kev35,
I would imagine that the F-111 is in the cold war building to complement the Russian Mig.
What have you learnt about the BA collection, I have seen no statement issused yet by anyone.
collect your prize Wildcat
Les,
You may well be talking of Canberra BI 111346 which was put up for disposal by the MOD
Les,
You must then be talking of VictorK.1A XH592 then.
Alan,
You need to ring the Museum recption on 01902-376200 next week and they should beable to help with your request.
Sorry Les my mistake, the valiant was not Cosfords fault It was due to be rebuilt in September but due to the RAF team being sent elsewere the job was delayed.
Hi Merlin hows the modeling going?
Les,
If you mean the Vulcan that airframe had would have required a mega amount of money to even start to save it.
The aircraft spent many years on the airfield under RAF control and had been totaly neglected before the Museum took control of it, in otherwords the corrosion had gone to far.

The Britannia & York belong to the Museum not BA.
I have it from a very good source that all V Bombers are staying in the present colour schemes and the Argosy will have a new home in hangar 1
Metor was back in hangar 1 and no drop tanks fitted to Valiant on Sunday
