How has unlimited become the same as ‘must include untested, unrecorded modifications’?

The report doesn’t seem to be recommending the banning of unlimiteds, just more rigour in the testing and recording of modifications

Formula 1 cars perform in essentially two dimensions on a track. In the event of them going off in an unintended direction, it’s relatively easy to place barriers and catch fences to protect the public

Not so simple with aeroplanes, is it. Galloping Ghost unfortunately demonstrates this all too well

I’ll just drop by to third “Crash Pilot” – how any aircraft could get off the ground carrying cojones as big as his is beyond me.

There is another book by Dick Grace – “Squadron of Death”. It covers the same era and much more. I have both

It looks like a reduction gearbox to go on the end of an electric motor. As it had a worm drive, it would also lock in place, so it could be off a winch

In my opinion…

Frost offer a huge range of stuff, and are rarely cheap. You can often find the same items at a significantly lower price elsewhere

Chronos have a long history as suppliers of good engineering tools and materials

I’d go for the Chronos one

For me, it isn’t the filling, it’s the sanding back you have to do. What damage are you doing to the soft alloy?

The Stakesys machine looks more versatile. For instance, it folds up to 135 degrees against the 90 degrees for the other two
