Great pic, T1940.
That looks to me like most of a set of parts for just one engine (the rest may be out of sight to the right?).
It’s no wonder the gas turbine ousted the piston engine when you see that lot and imagine it all clanking away and spinning round:eek:
Anon.
Have you any idea how many blades there are in each stage of a gas turbine compressor? Or how much they clank and rattle at low speeds 😮
No-one is going to produce a lower parts-count aeroplane motor than the rubber band

Another launch system:

IIRC Clostermann called these No-balls and hated attacking them

Hmm, Coventry town centre seems to be more Pound shops than anything else.
Coventry is going through a pretty rough time at the moment

I love unusual formations

What exactly are trainee aircraft?
Ones that haven’t quite got the hang of it yet I guess. Sopwith built quite a few, like Pups that seem to prefer resting upside down, or Camels that didn’t like taking commands from the pilot

Nice topiary, that man
Richard
Dead right – I misread it.
Perhaps you could do some pruning Moggy?

It’s all very well arguing that the people who say things on forums should be the target of any threatened legal actions. In the physical world, it doesn’t happen that way. It is easier to get a forum taken down than to take action against forum members as the people who pay for it can be easily identified
Stand firm everyone
