    Great shots mate, I really like the Globespan parked at the stand shot. I was up at GLA on Thursday and got a bit lost trying to find somewhere to take photos. Drove past the back of BA maintnance and past the end of the runway and ended up down a road that had a diversion sign saying the road was closed and was directed out onto the motorway…maybe next time I will have better luck.

    Great shots mate..saw the islander take off while I was waiting in the Easy lounge….very orange for my flight back to Bristol. Did you get any shots of G-EZAB?

    Why do so many soviet airliners have that lurid green facing on the instrument panels ?

    I remember reading an article on this and it basically said that the use of a certain shade of green was that it had a calming influence on the pilots in high stressful situations. Mikoyan and Sukhoi had all there fighters cockpits finished in the same colour as it was a Air Force Ministry directive.

    Imagine the scene….1981, Mediterranean, Libyan Mig 23 with the sound of missile lock in his ears, F14 up his chuff about to let loose a Winder… “It’s ok I am calm, peace is all around me in my green cockpit…I will not panic as I am calmed by my green cockpit”…I don’t think so!

    Awesome pictures….brings back memories of when I was a kid (long time ago). I love the Tridents, the Air Malta 720 and the F28 in Air Anglia colours just after it was renamed Air UK and the Merchantman and Viscount, have you any BMA Viscount pictures? Living near Aldergrove when I was a kid was fantastic with all these planes, I watched the first 747 land at Aldergrove (Aer Lingus) and managed to get a flight in a Argosy of Air Bridge Carriers..ah memories. Thanks and lets have some more.
