The resultant company was incorporated as Bayerische Flugzeugwerke GmBH (Gesellschaft mit bauhaus… essentially a construction firm).
It’s GmbH and that’s an abbreviation for Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung which (freely translated) is a limited liability company. “Bauhaus” is a latter-day German DIY-Shop chain or an architectural school of the Twenties/Thirties….
An interesting engine, have a look at http://www.zoche.de
Interesting, certainly, but he has been flogging this engine for about a dozen years now and it has still not entered production…
… if 100LL AVGAS gets withdrawn…
Surely you mean when it gets withdrawn…? By the way, one advantage with these engines (at least the Thielert engine) is that they also run on Jet A1.
As far as I know the Guenther Leonhardt and the Luftwaffemuseum received pre-production components for static rebuilds (fuselages in both cases, I think) using parts scrounged elsewhere. Guenther Leonhardt has a museum near Hannover where the resulting Fw 190 is on display, and the rebuild in the Luftwaffenmuseum is only progressing very slowly. Hence, these two “owners” shouldn’t really be included in this list.
But, not everybody here might be ideal pilot/passenger material.
Absolutely 😀
Absolutely terrible.

Here are some; not quite sure if that’s what you’re after though:
Murph’s advice is very important: It’s not enough to be able to pay for the PPL in itself, if you can’t afford to continue flying regularly afterwards you will have wasted the money and the flying you do won’t be much fun due to lack of currency.
I don’t know exactly how the conditions are for microlight flying in the UK, but if I were you I’d seriously consider flying modern 3-axis microlights as well. Generally similar performance – sometimes even better! – as a Cessna 152 but more agile and significantly cheaper to operate (except loadwise)
So why won’t they fly?
Since having learned to fly – and thus having also learned to appreciate the various elements of risk in this particular hobby – I have never ever accepted an offer for a ride in a privately operated aircraft with anyone whose flying qualifications and track record I don’t know. I’d therefore also politely answer “no” in this case.
Moral: aircraft enthusiats aren’t necessarily used to being up close or inside aircraft.
And why should they be? This particular PIC is to blame for not having informed/briefed his pax properly.
Lufthansa runs their historic Flight, with a Bf108, Ju52/3m;
The Lufhansa historic aircraft are operated by a separate foundation Lufthansa-Berlin Stiftung. See http://www.lufthansa-ju52.de for more info. They also operate a SAAB Safir (D-EBED) and a Chipmunk (D-ELLY; at least I think it’s theirs) in Lufthansa Training colours, and assisted in the failed recovery of the Condor in off Norway and in bringing the Ju 33 “Bremen” back to Bremen.
The German airline LTU sponsored the restoration to airworthy condition of a DH Dove and continues to support its operation.

do you fancy posting for me?
Done; will let you know what I find out (may also be posted directly here)
Without having seen this programme I thought I might add that this accident happened at the old Munich-Riem airport (closed in 1992), which has had (amongst others) a huge trade fair center built on top of it. I therefore doubt that any sequences were filmed there (only the control tower and a part of the terminal building survives)
If it is of any help I can confirm (from information from a reliable and well-informed source in Denmark) that there is indeed a Firefly on its way to that museum, so it isn’t a hoax/dream/wish. However, I am unfortunately not at liberty to reveal its identity. Sorry, for being so candid, this not being my style usually, but that was what I promised. Hope that at least the confirmation is of use.

“Hoot” Gibson, who had spent several years obtaining his commercial license in Costa Rica.
I shouldn’t think the “Hoot” Gibson did so or ever needed to…
Otherwise, I agree 100% with JDK’s opinion.
