What is that, a Nord 3202? Why on Earth did that merit a Luftwaffe paint scheme??

How about the Red Bull team ythey own / sponsor … I think a Grumman Mallard (Goose ?) … ?

Their amphibious Grumman is a beautifully restored (by Dornier) and immaculate French-built Widgeon. Don’t forget that they also have a completely restored (reskinned as well!) DC-6 in the pipeline!

Does a Danish Air Force C-47 dropping paratroopers at Karup in 1982 (its last year in active service) count?

.. while Lufthansa’s Historic Flight comprises D-EBEI, a frequent guest at German airshows.

I am also a great admirer of this aircraft and feel that it is very underrated (as are most historic German light aircraft). With only about a dozen “genuine” Bf 108 still existing it is much rarer than the Bf 109!

… and a static example which is marked as “D-IOIO” but is in fact ex Swiss AF…

The Messerchmitt-Foundation in Germany has an airworthy Bf 108 in the form of D-ESBH…

The sabre was infact an F84 Thunderstreak now in deep store at Cosford.

Was it not the one which was restored by the Medway Aircraft Preservation Society in Thunderbirds colours?

How about teaming up with, say, a Beech Bonanza to show how well it keeps up with “modern” aircraft?

I am viewing in the way that Geedee describes, i.e. from the left. Reverse thrust results in a force that “pushes” backwards on the engines, which are mounted above the CoG. Hence, in my opiníon, a pitch-up is the result.

If I understand it correctly, a deep stall is a condition in which the aircraft is stalled and the airflow over the wings disrupt that over the tailplane to such an extent that the elevators do not work, i.e. they cannot change the pitch angle of the aircraft. Therefore, the elevators cannot be used to lower reduce the angle of attack such that the wing is no longer stalled. As I see it, if you would employ full reverse thrust on a Trident you would create a clockwise moment about the CoG (when the a/c seen from the side) which would only aggrave things as it would increase the angle of attack.

I’d pleased to see more, preferably here in this thread. The link you added is a bit cumbersome to operate!

i am not to sure how to use the USM on photoshop 7, can you give me some tips?

I use Photoshop Elements, but it should be the same. As I understand it, all digital photos, whether scanned or from a camera, need to be sharpened. The USM is said to be the best for this purpose. Clicking the USM function you find three controls: Strength or intensity (expressed in %), radius (pixel; the area in which pixels are compared with each other) and treshold (sets the brightness difference between two pixels which triggers the sharpening function). You’ll have to experiment a bit, but try 100%/5 (radius)/10 (threshold). Be careful not to overdo it (shows up as hard contrast, halo effects and jagged lines).
