If you have a particularly narrow field of vision, at least you would be able to tell which direction it was flying in just by looking at the mid-section….
Sorry, it has been a tough week….taxi!
I don’t care about that as long as they don’t paint it is a spurious colour scheme.
Anyway, I’ve heard that they are just going to remove the front doors and scrap the rest.
Can we make sure that there’s no radio-activity this time, we don’t want any other Forumites visited by the Police and BNFL
Does anyone remember the strange practice of sticking a duck, cut out from Dayglo Fablon, onto roadsigns that appeared in the late ’80s?
With my impending restoration to flight, I retrieved my old Loadie flying bag from the loft and found that it contained some dayglo fablon with some strange shaped holes….. 😉
Mind you if this global warming malarky does happen the fens will be flooded and Royston could be a deep water port – be bloody handy for DX wouldnt it…
Smells like one already…..
I have booked my ‘Ultimate Supercar Driving Experience’ for Brunty on Sunday August 13th in the morning, and will have an entourage of family and friends willing/expecting me to reverse a Ferrari/Porsche at speed into something solid….
In the afternoon I think it will be of interest to drag said entourage around the 558 hanger, LPG, beech 18, etc depositing much jangly change on the way…I know my Kids will love it, and I haven’t sat in a Lightning since I was 14!
If there is a Forum Day in June I will try and make that as well
Should the container be made airworthy by Legends, what kind of Horsepower do you need to get a 40ft steel container airborne from Duxford’s runway?
Steve
2 Bristol Radials, a large plank wing, fixed taildragger undercarriage….sorry! I was thinking Bristol Freighter! 😀
No, Chinese T-Shirts
Don’t tell us, you took all of the intelligent answers from the recent ‘T shirt Slogan’ thread and have had them made into the real thing as presents for all of us?
You shouldn’t have!
The mattress story reminds me of my B17 transition training in Sebring,FL in 1942. In the landing pattern, on the downwind leg, I had to power off the throttles and touchdown in a 10 foot circle.
But I bet you paid more attention to your checklist….. 😉
No prizes for location or date!
Why are there so many people photographing a Jet Provost? 😉
Is it the latest Shorts Skyvan?
Unload the wings and tail from the container and screw them to the outside, est Voila!
Is it me ,or does that white lump (crane) look like Concorde, without the wings sitting on top of the containers?
It’s you 😀
Wow! Just looks ‘Right’ doesn’t she?
My Wife thought she was wrong once
But she was Mistaken…..
My Wife thought she was wrong once
But she was Mistaken…..
I remember him flying an American Apache at Farnborough and uttering words of a similar substance to the Yank in the back as they were hovering a few feet off the ground.
Brian
Aaah yes, that rings a bell, he looked very indignant!
