I want Polish sausage and a Bud for breakfast please.
Pete, just be sure of your company before wishing for such things nowadays….some plumber friends of Dorothy could take it an entirely different way!
Are the Jet type things doing the usual fly in from Southwold direction? Usefully they fly over our house if they do that 🙂
If you check Notams they give the routing for the rehearsals and the actual flypast, and on the Sunday it will form up over Southwold

We stayed with my Wife’s Aunt and Uncle in Sacremento last year, he was an F111 Airframe fitter for many years (including stints at UH and Alconbury), but much to his dismay was switched to A10s just before the first gulf war. He said that he found it very hard trying to get to know a new aircraft under those conditions. He said it was a tough old bird and as everything was swappable left to right it made spares a bit easier.
(My Wife’s cousin is married to an ex F111 Airframe fitter who moved onto U2s and retired last year, he took us onto Beale, wow, that is a big base!)
Good to see them back in the UK, brings back memories of MATZ penetration when flying Ipswich-Norwich on my QXC!
Blast! I wonder if it is repeated later on today, I will text home to check
My last flight as a Loadmaster was in the Wessex that is now called ‘Aires’ and is the gate guardian at Strawberry
Petition signed, I sometimes fly with a chap that commutes between Kemble and Fowlmere in an Archer, and know that there is not much else around there.
I am working on getting my PPL back:
And occasionally doing some work on my 1/12 DC3:
No, I must set Sky+ to series record so we can catch it. There were 2 normal cameras on the ground, and 2 on the aircraft, one directly in front and one on the wing looking sideways, so there should be some good footage, hopefully!:)
Glad you guys have enjoyed the pictures, I will pick up the 2 x 35mm films tonight and if there are any more good ones, I will scan and post….
There will probably be more comments from my good wife about the ratio of wings to buttocks….:o
If you do a search on the Historic Forum, you will be deluged with info and pics.
As a start look at the QRA Hangar progress thread
I only have my digital Pics, I haven’t put the 35mms from my SLR in yet.
As for more pics, I presume you mean some tasty shots like these:

or do you mean these:

My Wife did question the balance of aircraft in my 216 Digital shots from yesterday….
I must admit that the refuelling was great to watch!
more gratuitous shots here….

Yes I liked the Lizzie as well, my kids go to school in Somersham where the SOE used them.

Good One!
I agree about the Confuser, great for showing your weaknesses
I was already calling upon all 160 pure-bred Lycoming Horses just to haul my not inconsiderable weight (and my sylph-like instructor) into the sky at 80 kts:)
As the now space-bound Scotty would say: “You can have 90kts in a week, Captain”
I had hoped that my wife had got a few pics of it’s missed approach, but unfortunately she was in the clubhouse buying my kids Ice Cream!
The view I had was more of a top-view as it was banked to port as it crossed above and ahead of me
