Sorry at risk here of being out of touch. QFE field pressure setting. QNH regional setting. So set altimeter to zero on ground before t/o so any display will indicate height above ground on site QFE.
Thank you for that info. I could not recall seeing one whilst on my travels quite thin on the ground. I went to collect the front fuse section a couple of months ago however there was a problem with the width so the back end came first.
Are you the gentleman I spoke to a few months ago regarding a seat and radar cap? If so could you pm me. Thanks once more PC
In view of my first post on this thread which was pulled to bits by the experts it becomes harder to make any comment which is not going to be up to the standards they require. Within the next few months an ex Luftwaffe F4F will fly in to Scampton. Boyle F4F Luftwaffe.
The problem with people who look for mistakes in other peoples submissions is that they are attempting to assert their superior knowledge. Boyle that is you. Nearly 8000 posts. What have you done for aviation preservation in this or any other country?? I have not a clue who you are or where you are from so you may be a real star in the saving of artefacts. If so wonderful. if not stop attempting to be superior, because matey you are just letting yourself down. Or as we would say in Dudley Hes a tripehound!!!
Well I have had to re allocate a tenner of mine already so not bets this time. However word is that arrival here has slipped to early next year. It is currently being re-rigged ready to come over, to be operated by a German crew.
Cheers Brian,
could you let me have your phone number?? Regards Phil C.
1867 you have not, neither have I.
The appraisal given in The Telegraph comes from a master pilot we all respect and admire. A man from another age who has been there and done it time and time again, brilliantly. He has said what many many others will have thought having seen the footage before certain channels started to black out the impact. Whilst probably premature, it is a concise account as seen by someone worth listening to.
MJ please could you let me/our readers know what FJs are? Because Ihnfi.
38+48 Hopefully fly in Oct/Nov. 37+91 spares 37+89 here. Mike J could you enlighten us on the F4Js privately owned at Scampton. Would love to see them.
No axe. See post 6.
Well fancy that. Now apparently at Scampton.
38+48 to be roaded from Jever to Wittmund. Serviced test flown then to UK. Possibly in a “Scheme”? Oct/Nov. But what do I know previous thread on this subject widely questioned.
They?
Seen pictures, but they says she is not going to Bruntingthorpe … remains to be seen where!
They say! They are/is me. I bet it ends up near a lot of Red a/c.
No. The engines are just fine. P1 said so!!!
