If the weather is halfway in the frame (cloud base over quite low/vis above quite close) and the a/c is fit to fly(+pilot) I will bring a bigmunk up from Bos.
Also may give a local a jolly if I got one on the WCML!!!!

    Another chance to see!!!!

The difference being that from 1940/1961 we were not bombarded with constant repeats of events as we are now, so to be reminded was notable.
Not as today when everything is repeated every ten minutes.

look to your right shoulder you will see Phil Cartwright, and countless millions more of the same mind. Just by saying that everybody should be equal will not make it happen.
Of course if you state the truth in these politically correct times there is no doubt that the full weight of the deluded destroyers of society as we once knew it will land on you, and it wont be a three pointer!!

Many years ago when i went out of the “office” it was to sort out theives and vagabonds, the ladies went out to shoplifters and other much more delicate matters that were best dealt with by a female. These days you will do well to see male or female “out of the office” as they are busy filling forms or drawing up new “Targets”

John with regard to comments you may get on this forum the best bet is take plenty of no notice, and if you want take a look at an informed up todate interesting forum without the point scoring “Fox2” is somthing special.

    Happy landings, Regards PC

Propstrike your last post is quite revealing. Now with all filters set at max (including acid) you may find the back of beyond in the wilderness that is south Shropshire, an enjoyable place to visit.
If you wished to visit Cosford museum you could get on a train at Euston, change at Wolverhampton and get off at RAF Cosford with a short walk to the museum. It would almost be like commuting! Whilst walking the few hundred yards look to the north west to see the distant Shropshire hills, worth the journey on their own.
Apologies for my rather short response this morning i was tired and emotional!!
The only problem you may have is that Shropshire is multiculturally deprived, however on the way home you could spend an hour or two in Wolverhampton which is not.It would probably be right up your avenue.

About 15 years ago we had some Chipmunk winscreens made by a man at Norton near Worcester. Problem is I can not remember his details. He also made Glider transparencies.

    F4 preservation.

What is the situation in the event of some person restoring a F4F cockpit section? No government approval, but a love of the bird?

Oh no its not!! Phil the spotter, South Bank WOLVES. My Grandson has just got GB railfreight to name a class 66 WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS. I feel no problem/shame with being a spotter of Locos/Aeros, the problem is the people who denigrate anyone who does not fit their alleged superior asperations. By the way what are they? If anyone is enjoying themseves in a legal manner thats great. Unless they support albion!!!!!!!

Having been a collecter of serials for 50 years, Steam engines, Military a/c, never buses!! It amuses me to read the comments of the superior types for whom number crunchers are held in such disdain.
Throughout life we meet people who dont adhere to the rules, step over the boundary rope, to get a better shot and really are a pain. However the majority of crunchers are no problem. If they are sort them out, eject them, tell them their fortune.
I am a spotter, I fly, I love a/c, and if anybody has the same interests they are OK.
And to the bleaters about crunchers, to coin a US term IYDFYAS

    Keep on crunching!!!!!
