    Who indeed?

In the big scheme of things whatever happened to Germany after 1936!! Is self induced.
They destroyed Guernica in 1936, whilst learning their trade. Then feeling their feet to be quite safe set off to conquer the world.
WRONG, certainly they had lots more to celebrate, Coventry in 1940 and many more victorys????? before the tide turned.

As ye sow so shall ye reap, theirs was the whirlwind.

Harris was a Patriot, Churchill was a polititian,a man who changed his spots to suit the time!!! Liberal/Conservative and God knows what.

A man of his time yes, still in the big picture a Here today gone tommorow polititian.

Yes The Bomber boys were betrayed, as even today the boys in useless wars
in the middle east are betrayed, by two faced, double dyed polititians

In view of the massive loss of life we have suffered due to Tonys licking the US ass i hope his recently found Catholic faith sees him in good stead at the day oy reckoning.

    Impressive

Not quite like the old days is it? I think if you are north of the border and dont mind taking your shoes off you might have a more interesting hour or so at the mosque.

    Swinderby 1972?

This is some coincidence. I visited Swinderby 3 hours ago after 40? years.
I think it was 1972 as part of a Police support squad we were billeted at Swinderby for a few days to support the local force who were having problems with i think dockers at Gunness wharf.
Whilst there one evening i wandered across the airfield to XM 170 a Lightning that was dumped near to the A46. It was stripped and on its belly and i was told it had some of its systems contaminated with mercury.
With regard to Swinderby this afternoon the lane off the A46 (now a dual carriageway) is now a service road to the housing estate that covers the old accomodation blocks. It appears from the limited views through young trees/folliage that the runways have been lifted, but i am not sure.
One thing is for certain i wish i had not gone back.

    Turned out to be????

    John,
please talk us through your deductions with regard to your final appraisal of the foreign matter on the rear seats? Were you seated on those seats or were you looking for a more comfortable position at the back end?
I take it you were not flying crabair as it does not rhyme!!

Happy landings we hope you will come again.
