IIRC, it was the simulation Hunter (the one with the TFT screen in the cockpit), running Dave Garwood’s excellent Hunter for FS2004.

Slightly off topic (and possibly posted before so apologies if it has!), but M$ now have a download available for XP to allow viewing of RAW images as thumbnails, etc in the same way as other images can be.

Might be of use to some (it certainly makes it easier to pic which RAW images you want to post process….)

    cheers for the comments.

Andy – I think I was the only person by the end of the runway today. Was wearing black shirt and light trousers if that is who you saw (green car)

A very pleasant day and my first visit to Newark as well. Well done all.

For those that are interested, I’ve got a gallery of pics from CockpitFest 2005.

You can find them here – http://www.aviationphotoarchive.com/photos/newark/index.htm

(The unplanned “display” by the Spitfire was rather nice too 😀 )

    thanks guys 😉

one of my favourite pics has to be the last herc, just because it is sharp and yet has very nice props.

I was playing with some very low shutter speeds for the day (that pic was 1/100th, 400mm!)

She did say it three times which must rank as one of the most stupid things anyone could do!

I’ve been to several airports recently with big warning signs at X-ray area saying “Do not joke about bombs”

    Bl**dy stupid move!

I think they should change it to Birmingham Airport. After all, Birmingham is even better known and it is clear that distance from the airport and using a name already in use is of no relevance!

I wonder if the number of people who have no idea where Nottingham is but knew East Midlands, outweighs the number that don’t know East Midlands but know where Nottingham is?!

Apparently the owner of the real Nottingham Airport is looking in to whether he can take legal action against EMA because of the confusion it will cause!

Just to keep people informed, we now have £2,960 in pledges.

The appeal is also due to appear in the Manchester Evening News tonight – not sure how much coverage but let’s hope reported got all the details correct!:)
