Pages from ‘Ace of Aces’
I have a copy of E.C.R. Baker’s 1992 edition of ‘Ace of Aces’ immediately to hand, so here are the pages mentioned above scanned for anyone who is interested.
The first couple are the combat record from pages 210 and 211:

The remaining pages are from the Epilogue:

I think that covers the information mentioned so far, however if anyone wants any more of the pages scanned, let me know.

The Huntress
Another one I’d forgotten about until thinking for this thread was ‘The Huntress’, details of which can be found at http://www.huntress.com/Huntress/Welcome.html.
longshot, the URL you’ve given appears to be incorrect and should read http://www.ab-ix.co.uk/dh98%20mosquito.pdf.

Just finished Antony Beevor’s “D-Day: The Battle for Normandy” and whilst reading found out that my maternal grandfather was involved in the battle for Caen as a tank radio operator!
I now understand somewhat better why he never wanted to speak about it.
After way too long, I have finally sorted timelapse videos from the disassembly and reassembly of HJ711 in 2017 and the first public runs of the port engine in 2018 and first short taxy in 2019.
The videos can be found at either HJ711 (mossie.org) or Andy Dawson – YouTube
A number of people have been asking about making a donation to the move, so Tony, Elaine and I have set up a JustGiving page to allow people to donate.
The page is at https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/help-tony-agar-move-hj711.
All donations will go directly to Tony. Anything that gets donated over and above the target will be used towards running costs for the aircraft after the move.
Please read the terms and conditions on the JustGiving site before donating to ensure that you’re happy!

The long term future of HJ711 really drove the move.
If anything happened to Tony, there’s nobody at the Yorkshire air Museum qualified to look after the aircraft, and the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre are offering an overwhelming amount of support to allow Tony to achieve his long-held ambition of getting HJ711 running.
Andy
My sincere condolences Andy, my thoughts are with you.

It is my understanding that Eric’s funeral will be held on Friday the 2nd of December just outside Croydon at Beckenham.
As I receive further details, I’ll post them here.

Very sad to hear of John’s passing; I always used to spend quite a time chatting to him at the Mosquito Museum shop when I was visiting.

Isn’t Peter Henley still around? He used to fly RR299.
Peter is indeed still around; I met him at the reunion at the RAF Club a couple of weeks ago. He had some very interesting photos of RR299 to show!
Andy
I’m on the list to get one directly from the publisher and have not heard anything yet.
Andy
Nope, not me asking about it on the other forum!
